Celtic made a fair job of the great Leeds team.

When it was a level playing field the story was different.

It hurts me to say, but Everton were knocked out of the Inter Cities Fairs Cup by Dunfermline & the Texaco Cup by Hearts.  I saw the defeat by Hearts.

That was due us Dixie, after you stole the Golden Vision.

As another post points out, things were very different pre Murdoch loot. Further back, Hearts were in the European Cup when Liverpool were still in the 3rd Div north or somesuch desert.
