To some of you more recent forumites, a guy who doesn't post anymore but used to be a regular, Alex TOWR, layed Ryan Giggs for BBC sports personality of the year @ 249. Giggs of course won it, this became a bit of a forum legend and he was never allowed to forget it :)

Surely it has to be Sir Steve Redgrave. Beckham would be disrespectful to Olympians, as would a Royal and Bannister not really an Olympian. Who would you vote for?

Wow I wonder if this is the sole international feed : They MISSED Cyprus, an entire COUNTRY, because they were too busy filming some canadians standing around for like 45 seconds? Which amateur idiot is directing this?!

Perhaps they'll miss out North Korea's entire walkpast by filming some people standing around high fiving for a minute. That'll cool down the whole "wrong flag" incident

The flag was Red with a picture of a broken Lappy on it and the words "Sponsored By PC World" at the bottom
Think it was his mum

The guy directing this wants fired. All these lingering shots of flags doing nothing etc. I'll expect there will be some complaints like their jubilee coverage disaster.

WHY cut to some feckin drummer tw*t and miss an entire country out AGAIN? WHAT are they thinking? If this is the international feed these small countries are getting they will rightly be ****ing annoyed at Britain before it gets going! It's annoying the hell out of me and I'm not even from East Tinylandia. Absolutely amateur.

Ahh ok you might be wondering what I'm on about, I just tried the normal bbc channel and it looks a lot less sh*t and far less stupid camera work, I didn't realise the broadcasts were so different. The HD one kept cutting to flags doing nothing or drummers drumming or people dancing, or lengthy wide shots of stick men in a stadium - basically irrelevant CRAP.
