Irish and Welsh leagues? Living up to your name clown? The SFL 1 has higher average attendances than them without either of Celtic or the recently departed Rangers and allo of a sudden Rangers ceasing to exist will mean the SPL will be on a par with them. How exactly?

Not a very shrewd dude if you can't work it out. You might work it out when celtic are out of europe and slash the squad and wage bill. Celtic will only need players a step up from the dross they will be playing week in , week out. Getting weaker both in scottish football and europe. Other teams around them will be going to pot, league fixtures, cup fixtures all up in the air if teams can't play their fixtures. ICT have called an emergency meeting tomorrow. Killie and Motherwell are sweating buckets along with Dundee Utd and Aberdeen. But then again there will be plenty of TV money to share around eh ?

Looking at other industries lately that are going to pot, methinks you might be a banker or something similar. Very similar.

Celtic's board have maintained throughout the Rangers fiasco they are not financially reliant on the Old Firm clashes and are protecting the Hoops' best interests. The statement continued: "Whilst the financial implications of today's vote for Celtic and for the Scottish game as a whole will be very significant, we have already stated that Celtic has a business plan and strategy independent of any other club.

They are hardly going to say "Ffs we didnt think the rest of them were going to throw the baby out with the bathwater and Neils going to have to put up with less money to spend" are theyLaugh

There is a chance that the new club will go skint as well, i hear ticket prices in div 3 are pegged and i cant see Ibrox being packed out to watch dross every other week once the novelty wears off

you mean new company , the club is just an asset of a company.

i think what has happened today can be traced back to one mans ego and obsession  to try and match celtics achievements by hook or by crook and has finally been played out today although the taxman could still try and get some revenge on him for destroying our national sport

sorry new company, i hear virtually all the players have gone now, whos going to sponsor them? and wtf's going to want to lend them money in this climate??

I think the originaly the SPL clubs thought they'd just teach them a lesson and that the SFL would just play the game and stick em in Div 1 and they are tonight sweating.

that's the same problem for a lot of the clubs - quite a few running tight ships , with no overdraft - take out planned sky/espn money that looks unlikely to happen - then it's a problem

If the accusation is true and a lot of the fans are just glory hunters then there wont be a lot of glory to follow!!

the way to save scottish football is become part of the english league.

as the div 4/5 north(poor).

about the right level macclesfield, darlington, celtic, gateshead.

And the novelty will wear off in the spl as well. I saw one Aberdeen fan saying all they need to do is get 19,000 in to the ground. Good luck to them. Celtic have a lot of foreign fans from countries in big financial trouble getting bail outs right left and centre. When there isn't much of a challenge i can't see them in a hurry getting their wellies on to skip over water when they need every euro they can get for themself.

At the start of the season you will see grounds swell, then the scottish weather will kick in. Then the lack of competitiveness will kick in. Then when Dundee utd, aberdeen, hearts , hibs or any other team then start picking up draws and defeats and realise coming 2nd won't happen. Their grounds won't swell anymore. The tears will though.

And the sad thing is, regan and doncaster whose jacket's are on a shoogly peg probably won't be around to see the fruits of their labour.

There's something quite alluring about a group of youth/academy players taking on the might of division 3. The Lodge will ensure that the punters turn up/buy season tickets, (even if they don't turn up). Rangers will survive, as will Celtic though probably with a weakened squad. What price the rest of the SPL failing to get through the 2012/13 season?

coco you seem to have a thing about regan and doncaster

They are doing a fine job, they know the scottish game inside out and could still yet walk away with a £3m Sky/Espn deal even with Rangers in the 3rd division. Im sure clubs will be happy to get their bumper share of that.

It's just that i heard from someone that the pegs they hang their jackets up on have come loose. It was someone's auntie's, brother's, sister's cousin that told them who told me.

So Clown how will they be comparable to the Irish and Welsh leagues who have a lower average attendance than SFL 1 who don't have Celtic and Rangers in SPL? Answer they won't it's just fear mongering.

You can't live without us. The only way the Scottish football will survive is cheating is condoned. That seems to be your position. Maybe Motherwell and ICT should be able to preserve themselves by tax evasion and cheating and if at the end of the day they can't they will have the option of being promoted in to the SPL and SFL1 should they liquidate.

Your doomsday scenario seems to have completely described the last couple of months in dealing with the new club Sevco. League and cup fixtures up in the air. Aye because some new diddy team wanted automatic promotion to the SPL.

Just be thankful the governing bodies broke their rules and granted you access to the SFL and try and complete your fixtures. (When I say you I'm assuming you are a former Rangers fan who now is a fan of Sevco)

end of the day , if the chairmen of the spl clubs had a bit of commerical savvy - they would have voted for yes to the newco
nothing doncaster and regan could do about the rise in the sporting integrity thats engulfed the fans

Anyway time will tell, and if the sfa had acted when Celtic went bust. Not the bunnet's Celtic, the one before that. Then maybe all this would have been avoided. They could have used that Celtic as a test case and put something in place where all scottish teams had to live within their means.

Unfortunately they didn't see the warning signs and we have what we have.

Sad times for scottish football, dear oh dear, oh dear.
