If you take into account the head-to-head rule (having preference over goal difference) they should go through regardless of how many they might lose by tonight (since they beat Portugal).

If zee germans lose and Prtugal beat the cloggies, then 3 teams on 6 pts so goal diff and goals scored comes into play....

You missed my point about the head-to-head - Russia had better goal difference than Greece but Greece still went through!
in this case 3 teams on same points so record against the other 2 teams comes into play:
i.e. Germany W 1-0 (Port), L 1-2 (say versus Den)
Denmark L 2-3 (Port), W 2-1 (say versus germ)
Port W 3-2 (denmark), L 0-1 (versus Germany)
actually, if Denmark beat germany 4-3, 5-4 etc then portugal out regardless

After last nights fiasco, Germany will not dic* around and will steamroll the Danish pastries..bankers.
If Denmark beat Germany by two goals or more and Portugal win then Germany are out.
