What do you win for getting further than any other team,if you don't win it it's the same achievement as not even getting there,u win fúck all,and England are going out at the Group stages so not sure where your getting the "we'll get further that you " part.

Was once watching the pile of steaming horse crap that is 'Braveheart' with a German. Couldn't believe my ears when he turned to me and said "this must make you ashamed to be English". He soon went quiet when I suggest we put on Schindlers List

EinFuhrer - I watched RTE last night and before the game, there was a poll asking fans what they think. 74% of Irish fans believed they could beat Spain. I think if you put that same poll up on English TV, the confidence wouldnt be as high.

English fans are either to upbeat about their team or in stark contrast to downbeat. They let everybody know their feelings in a loud and unsophisticated way without realising that other nations do NOT care what they think. The English are also to opinionated in the fortunes of others especially the likes of Germany,France and being opinionated about individuals such as Ronaldo,Schweinsteiger.
Added to the fans opinions ,thoughts etc are the British newspapers and the way their reporters provide us with little insight into upcoming and recent matches, tactics,formations,strengths weaknesses of the opposition etc-- what do we get jibes about the past major and minor historical events. The Europeans and the world in general have moved on-we, our press like our way of playing football still wollow in the past. So enjoy football,concentrate on our own game and positively support our team without belittling others |

This 4-1 world cup victory which you were dangling over our heads like The Sword Of Damacles. Did it result in tournament victory for Germany. Or does your statement above apply to them? |

So just to clarify things here, we have a seething Irishman (boxfresh) who was banned so he went to the trouble of re-registering with a new username (einfuhrer) to pretend he was German to try and get one over on some anonymous England fans on an internet forum.
