To be fair, he's on the right lines, but he is just doing it wrong. Under 5.5 was 1.7 at one point. No idea why he thinks under 2.5 is a good idea here.

Yeah, I agree, where he says people jumping on O4.5s after USA go 1-0, theres no real value there. But on the whole he takes the contrary position, to play devils advocate, and look clever in the odd occasion when his prediction prevails.
