none of this is rios fault. he is just antons brother.

He's always on twitter crying about something and pointing the finger. he is too old too slow, and he can't play more than one game a week says Alex Ferguson.

Roy's biggest mistake was saying the Rio omission was for 'footballing reasons' and dening it had anything to do with Terry.  That lie will come back to haunt him.

exactly berto. now the squad will be divided again. with team rio and team terry. for the harmony of the squad neither should have been picked. but when you pick a player like kelly over rio and say it is for football reasons. your lies will come out in the end. just be honest hodgson.

It was a pointless lie from Hodgson. If he'd just come out from the start and said there was clearly a big problem between Terry and Ferdinand such that it would have been disruptive to pick both then this would have been a non-issue

Didn't Sir Alex come out and admit that Rio was not able to play a competitive match, and then back it up again 3 or 4 days later?

If Rio's manager admits that Rio isn't fit enough to partake in an international tournament when the games can come thick and fast (assuming England make it out of the group), then why should Woy even consider him? If that's the case then JT being in the squad becomes irrelevant.

Obviously  it as something to do with John Terry, but what would happen if there is any trouble at Euro 2012, with Ferdinand in the squad?
Like I said earlier he is more interested in politics than football he would make any situation a thousand times worse.

anyone knows that you cant have rio and terry in the same squad. so the manager has to leave one of them out.

Full agree with this.  I don't have a particular problem with not picking Rio for the reasons others have suggested (although I would certainly have picked Richards ahead of Kelly).

It's Roy's whopper that worries me.  Parts of the press wont let it Hugo and its an entirely avoidable distraction that he's brought upon himself.  Just say it was Rio or Terry, I chose Terry.  Not all this guff about Rio not playing much or England since the world cup tc etc.

Martin Kelly has been picked because he is better than Rio, as simple as that. For years me and fellow Liverpool fans have been pointing out the star and world class player that was rising in Martin Kelly. Now this season it's been reconised. About time.

Duck lips cant keep his mouth shut thats why and would cause problems in the squad.. welldone Roy for keeping the promblem boy out of the team... I hope your gutted ferdinad in future you might keep your mouth shut

I don't think you can say Terry is by any means 'all about the game'. He is in the news more often than not for anything other than football!! His form has not been great of late and he nearly cost his team due to his foolishness/stupidity in the CL semi and got torn to shreds by Andy Carroll (yes, Andy Carroll) recently. No axe to grind either way I just think the way it has been handled is appalling and Roy and The FA should have come out and said what we all know in the first place that this decision is nothing to do with footballing reasons. If he rates Terry ahead of Ferdinand then thats just fine but just say you had to make that choice between them.

Just to be clear here; he did miss a drugs test, which is pathetic on his half but he had the test the very next day and all was completely NEGATIVE (that means there was no trace of any drugs in his system if you are unsure of what NEGATIVE means in this context).Hitmanhearn.
