F.A. ar*es must be dirty.
so what do they get, an ar*e licker. |

Right man for job
By:
depends on where he,s standing, or kneeling
By:
I would say that he has done a pretty good job at WBA wouldn't you? His recent record there is better than the "peoples favourite" Arry.
By:
not enough when ur going into battle in a major comp
By:
please god they give him the job.
the idiot who tried to portray himself as a hard bargainer, might now realise he aint got much of a hand to play ![]() |
By:
Better manager than Redknapp so makes sense.
By:
I hope 'Arry done his conkers on this market!
By:
how many times will england go into
major comp with make-shift managers |
By:
wont it be fantastic when levy , who thought he was going to get a nice few quid to get rid of 'arry finds he.s lumbered with him

The media tried to pressure the FA into giving it to Harry. Roy was the better man for the job imo. but the only problem is because of the media he won't have the support Harry would've had
By:
This will be very, very amusing IMO. Capello could looK like Alf Ramsey by Christmas.
By:
Roy has achieved his success on a budget.
Harry has achieved his success by breaking his budgets. |
By:
see what I mean
By:
See what you mean what Clydebank? If you can show me that Roy has ever loved himself up to it in a big job, I'll gladly be proved wrong.
Excellent Manager for clubs that are halt with being well organized and getting draws whe mid table mediocrity is an achievement. And that's it. England need a Manager with proven success, who can win things. |
By:
* looked up to it in a big job

What Success has Redknapp achieved in 30 years of management please?

Who was suggesting 'arry was the right man?
He hasn't done any more than Roy, and whilst I don't think he would be the answer either, there is no doubt in my mind he would do a much better job than Roy. I think Redknapps skills would actually be better suited to managing England than a Prem side. |

Redknapp won the f.a cup?

Hodgson took the Schweizer Nati to the 1994 World Cup, losing only one game during qualification, from a group that included Italy and Portugal. The Swiss took four points off Italy, who, managed by the successful former coach Arrigo Sacchi, went on to make it to the World Cup final and lose only on penalties. In the game in Italy, the Swiss were at one stage leading 2–0 before being pegged back to 2–2. This was Switzerland's first World Cup since 1966. At the 1994 World Cup, the Swiss finished runners-up in their group, qualifying for the Round of 16 where they lost to Spain.
The Swiss easily qualified for Euro 1996, but Hodgson left immediately after qualification, on 15 November 1995. Hodgson narrowly failed to reach UEFA Euro 2008 with Finland, a country who have never qualified for a major tournament ......................... That made him the best man for the job. He starts with a h'cap though as the media tried incessantly to drum up public support for Harry in the same way Cowell manipulates people into voting for his favourite acts. Most of the public are easily led |

One FA cup?
In THIRTY BLOODY YEARS OF MANAGEMENT? |
By:
The reality is that neither are good enough for the position. However viable alternatives aren't just thin on the ground but are almost non-existent if the FA go down the English manager route.
By:
What's Hodgson done?
By:
Clydebank. Figures like that can be twisted as you want them to be. Finland drew 5 of their 12 games 0-0 and he was the worst performing Finland Manager of the previous ten years.
By:
He'll have a good excuse why he hasn't won one, and it certainly won't be his fault.
By:
I just posted what he's done. His international record is superb (which is enough on its own to warrant the job imo),but he's also respected in the game, and is the most experienced English person there is in top level international tournament football and the Premier League.
By:
Hmm 'clydebank', I smell a rat here.
By:
His record at Finland isn't 'superb' at all. He did well with Switzerland, and that is probably the high point of his career. We are all entitled to our opinion, but I think he will be hopelessly out of his depth. Only time will tell who is right....
By:
Would anyone have done well with Finland?
By:
And he took Fulham to the final in Hamburg.
And he is agentleman not a "dodgy geezer". Simple choice between the 2 of them anyone who has done their money backing Redknapp at odds one must be simple. |
By:
the f.a will never ever let the public pick the manager

A gambler on a gambling forum telling an international manager he's out of his depth. ![]() |

By:
Don't suppose thats really the point is it? Maybe we should try every Manager who has managed clubs who aren't expected to do well then?
By:
ROY IS DIFFERENT CLASS TO HARRY
By:
His spell at Inter was similar to Liverpool, the fans detested him.
By:
Yeah, his international record is good, but it is mostly a long time ago .
As CCM says he has a good record of exceeding the exepectations of teams that have minimal expectations . He does this with good organization, correcting basic things etc .That sort of thing can get relegation candidates to mid table or non qualifying countries to tournaments . Doesn't make much difference at the highest level . |
