Brazil is right. I would add that Chelsea were generally unheard of outside the UK until the Russian took over. Their popularity in far-reaching places (ie Far East) is fickle as these supporters have no equity in the club. They have not been born into a Chelsea supporting household or brought up at a Chelsea supporting school so their alleniation can only be temporary until their fascination moves elsewhere.
Spurs have more Spurs households in the UK and round the world than Chelsea. Attendances between 1970 and 2000 prove that. |
