Bill Ng the singapore business man is the latest to walk away.

This only leaves 1 possible bidder ,the yank Bill Miller whose preference is to liquidate them.

If rangers go down it will be years before financial and footballing recovery , the identity and loyalty fans have for the club will be tested and i believe many of that support will be history like thier great club

140 years of apartheid, bigotry, corruption and ignorance has finally caught up with RFC(IA). It's a great day for Scottish football as the 'peepul' realise that they are not the chosen people.

I was going to say that the SFA's Save-Our-Club committee must have come to the conclusion that the only way forward for their club is as a newco as I presume none of these penalties would apply then but in the Daily Hun the SFA are saying the decisions are not down to them as they were made by an independent panel.

Last night, SFA chief executive Stewart Regan told the Record that the governing body had no control or influence over the hearing’s process or verdict. He said: “This was an independent process and there was no indication from the panel until their decision was made last night.”

Not that it matters. As someone commented on there, "it's like telling someone who has two weeks to live they're going to be executed in 6 months".
Report high_lander April 24, 2012 11:30 AM BST
If Rangers are liquidated then officially Rangers Football Club PLC will not exist any more. But obviously it's only a technicality, it's still Rangers, however they will have to go through the motions of reapplying for membership of the Scottish league - or the English league if they fancy having a go at that.
Report shudacuda April 24, 2012 11:31 AM BST
Cheer up FECK.

The penalties still apply to a NEWCO as they have to apply for a licence.

Stop your conspiracy theories.
Report high_lander April 24, 2012 11:35 AM BST
And it is only right and proper that Rangers start at the bottom rung, they'll easily get promoted in successive seasons, but it will be a suitable punishment for the way the club has been run. Also would like to see a criminal investigation into how the club was run.

Report high_lander April 24, 2012 12:34 PM BST
Officially they should be forced to sell everything they own, including property, in order to pay creditors. So they might be in a position where they will have to "buy back" their stadium.

The level of arrogance perpetrated by the fans/officials/Independent Administrators (aye right), despite all that has happened to date, beggars belief.

How about showing a little humility and contrition?

The past has caught up with those who bent the rules and it is the fans who will carry the shame for many years to come.

Players, management and directors will move on to the next gravy train, but it is the ordinary employees at Ibrox who will be signing on the dole next season.

Show a little class, take your punishment and move on.

The rest of Scottish football would respect you more if you did.
