for being well and truly WRONG. This is what paying top money gets you, top quality players who have got the club into TWO FINALS and already became League Cup Champions in the first one with them soon and likely to be Fa Cup Champions also, to complete THE DOUBLE.
If only Tottenham had offerd £35 million for Andy instead of £23 million then maybe the Tottenham supporters would also be celebrating a return to Wembley for the FA CUP final. If only the Arsenal board were willing to back Wenger more and would have let him sign the best upcoming central midfielder in Europe in Hendo for £20 million, instead of a Everton ageing poor Arteta on the cheap who will only decline, maybe they too would have ended their 7 year trophy drout. If only Blue Bill Kenwright had got a foreign investor in and give up the club then maybe they too could have had quality like Downing running the wing on saturday to get them into a FA CUP final and the potential to win a first trophy in 17 years.

It is now time for you who have sinned to repent and apologise for you criticism you wrongly gave the club, these players and the manager. This may be the lonest thread in Betfair in history, so I will say it now

I've been lurking around these forums even longer than you UK and maybe my memory is somewhat tarnished but I seem to remember that years ago you used to be quite considered and fair in your posts, albeit partisan towards your team.

Downing reminds me of Arjen Robben when he was at his best for Chelsea. His left foot can be like a magic wand at times and he just need to add goals to his game to be a truly world class player.

As a Red I would like to apologise for subjecting viewers to the dross served week in week out by Adam, Downing & Henderson. They truly are extremely poor and disastorous signings - the leaggue table tells us this.
Carroll is not that bad, but way short of the price tag. He has had awful service and cannot be blamed when his strength is his heading and we don't have a single player who can cross a ball. |
