I deposited £30 earlier for a laugh and just refreshed my account and I now have £100. This is clearly a sign to do this challenge...

A two bedroom apartment is between £75-100k here and that is my aim (as if i'm not going to lose it all within the next 19 minutes).

I sometimes trade in play so all bets shall be posted at the end of the day.

Lets begin!

100k for a two bedroom apartment? Are you serious?
Report J2BLUE. April 15, 2012 8:08 PM BST
Yea, they are right in the town centre though and luxury. The one I want is £75k and just outside of town.

I know it's a bit crap and rather small but it's a start and lets be honest, this thread will be dead within a week.

I started with £100 many years ago.  It's doable - but treat it as a hobby alongside a career, would be my advice.
Report J2BLUE. April 15, 2012 8:24 PM BST
Cheers, will do. This certainly isn't my only income thankfully.

Think that looks a lovely place for 75k. All I can get for that in my area is http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-20830779.html

Don't know why I live here tbh. But I suppose Ipswich isn't really a hive of activity.

An interesting start and staking percentage! Any reason for the 25%? I'm mean if you're going for it it might as well have been the lot Laugh Nothing like slowly slowly catch a monkey on this thread Laugh

Report loadedgimp April 15, 2012 8:42 PM BST
The 25% is so he doesn't lose it all in one go.  That would be devastating.
Report J2BLUE. April 15, 2012 8:42 PM BST
25% for the hell of it really

J2BLUE - you risked 25% of your bank on an even money shot but when that became a 1/3 shot you preserved it....sounds crazy doesn't it?

Well done on the win though, glad it came in for you Happy
Report J2BLUE. April 15, 2012 10:35 PM BST
I need to establish a base before I start taking risks. Calling £25 a risk is a little daft but in percentage terms it is. Challenges like this are easy to lose in the early stages.

Tomorrow:

Robin Van Persie     3.35     £5.02     £11.80

Not much value about here. This is purely because I think this is a touch of value. RVP has scored 41% of Arsenal's league goals this season and with Wigan playing well it might take a touch of magic from this man to get a goal. Arsenal tend to look for him when things aren't going their way.

If I lose it's a 5er gone, if I win it's a £10 free bet on something a bit more interesting.

"It's all about bank preservation at this point isn't it?"

It most certainly is.

You only need ten consecutive '@2's and the property is yours!!!

(I've made a lot of money in property...and a few pennies on Betfair. People need shelter, food and sex. That's where the money is. Nobody needs gambling)
Report themover April 15, 2012 10:38 PM BST
I agree, that's why I asked about the 25% bet percentage initially. That was a big risk because if Rayo had gone ahead it could have been down the pan early doors and not even the solicitors first phone call covered Laugh
Report themover April 15, 2012 10:40 PM BST
You are wrong jinkie...I can do without the shelter as long as there's a plug Laugh
Report dimebar8 April 16, 2012 4:11 AM BST
i don't need food or shelter as i'm synthetic but everyone needs sex, biological being or not
Report rob_dylan April 16, 2012 6:23 AM BST
Lay the draw in every test match risking 25pc of your bank each time
