The Scottish  media have been brought to task on this myth about not signing catholics and have admitted they were wrong , so they now word it different by saying Mo johnstone was the first HIGH PROFILE  catholic to sign for Rangers .

I will agree i dont think they encouraged many to join or that most of their supporters wanted them
