Neil Lennon is simply someone who dares question the officialdom involved in Scottish football and certain decisions made by the aforementioned group. People who criticise him are often the same people who rant about saving the institution known as Rangers.....an institution which historically practised a policy of not signing a player due to his religion......an instituition indeed.....now there we had 'vile scumbags'. I applauded Souness for ditching such a sectarian policy but to flag up Rangers as an institution worth saving whilst criticising Neil Lennon for having the audacity to speak his mind speaks volumes of those spouting forth such dribble.

Why doesnt Neil Lennon dare ask the question why Hoopers offside goal was given  , or why they didnt give Hearts a perfectly good goal the last  time they played , or why the only time Celtic beat Rangers this season there was another decision Celtic got in their favour, Wallace scored a  goal , or is it only certain decisions we are talking about

here we go with someone trying to keep alive the nonsense about a so called signing policy.  rangers had a catholic in the team before celtic even formed so please stop trying to deflect from your teams shortcomings by turning it around to how its big bad rangers fault that your team are bottle merchants. your manager is a disgrace and your lies will never change that.

skullery....it would be somewhat bizarre if managers complained about decisions that went in their team's favour....a most interesting concept

dg123. Souness has well documented the signing policy which was in existence. I was making the point that some people go on about saving a wonderful instituition like Rangers as if they are the innocent ones in their financial dealings. If you want to believe that the same wonderful institution did not practise such a policy have many happy days in la la land.

It is some what bizarre though to complain and moan to the referee when he had a performance which didn't favour any team as happened today.

very true , but it kinda blows the masonic  ref conspiracy theory

Shrewd_dude....if one was a penalty the other one was also a penalty. I think most people would agree with this.

If my mother was murdered today and by pure coincidence I unwittingly accidentally ran over the murderer's mother the same day would that mean my mother was not murdered?

Why Polensa?
By:

When: 15 Apr 12 17:06
Why was one given and not the other ?  In my humble opinion the Celtic claim was a more blatant penalty than the Hearts one as Ledley was so close he could not have avoided the ball striking him on the arm. In other words the ref gave a dubious penallty whilst denying a blatant one.

So what about Celtics equalising goal which was clearly OFFSIDE?

3 defeats lately and Lennon has blamed the ref everytime.

Hibs winner yesterday, against Aberdeen was set up by o'connor who was clearly offside.

Did you hear any rants from Craig Brown?

NO,cos the guy is too much off a gentleman and accepts defeats with dignity.

Are you listening MR.LENNON?

Whilst I would say neither was a penalty in terms of the 'deliberate hand ball' rule being applied as opposed to having your hands out like a scarecrow whilst trying to block a goal bound shot like the Celtic defender did. Webster had his hands over his chest and the shot was never goal bound. Clearly the ref made a mistake like the linesman did at the offside. It is hard to tell in the heat of the moment whether a player deliberately put his hand out or didn't, just like it is to tell if a player is offside.

pollensa, i fail to see the need of your "point".  it was totally irrelevant to the thread.  rangers werent even playing today so i cant see any logical reason that you felt the need to mention them.  with regards to your comments about the signing policy, you can believe what you want but the facts state this didnt exist.  doubt anyone actually cares but it can easily be checked.  also if you want to bring up the questionable history of certain football clubs, then people in glass houses etc.

im not wanting to start a mud slingning match so we will just have to agree to disagree.

Once again the usual ****s in Scotland havin a go at Neil LENNON.  I wonder why?  Is he not allowed to have a say to the ref when his team have just been knocked out of the semi-final of the cup.  I don't see him punching the ref, sending him bombs, etc.  Get into the fooking real world u shower of BIGOTS who live in the most bigotted country in Western Europe

The Celtic claim for a penalty was in desperation. The ball needs to hit the players hand or arm, this was not the case with Webster.

PERSONALLY I DON'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH A MANAGER LOSING THE PLOT TO A POINT WHEN DECISIONS GO AGAINST THEM IT SEEMS PERFECTLY NATURAL TO ME TO HATE LOSING.

THE MORE OBVIOUS QUESTION IS THAT RATHER THAN BEING THE 'BLESSED ONE' IT LOOKS TO ME THAT LENNON HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING.

AS I'VE SAID BEFORE THE EXCELLENT SIGNINGS BROUGHT TO THE CLUB WILL HAVE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM, HIS SQUAD IS MILES BETTER IN QUALITY THAN EVERYONE ELSE BUT HE SEEMS TO HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO TACTICALLY AND WITH PERSONNEL ON THE PARK. 90% OF THE TIME BECAUSE OF THE DISPARITY IN QUALITY WITH THE OPPOSITION THIS PROVES IRRELEVANT BUT WHEN IT DOES MATTER HE SEEMS TO COME UP SHORT NEARLY EVERY TIME.

HE DIDN'T HELP HIMSELF BRINGING HIS EQUALLY INEXPERIENCED MATES AS HIS BACKROOM TEAM BUT BECAUSE OF HIS 'CELTIC MINDEDNESS' WHATEVER THAT IS HE APPEARS TO BE IMMUNE FROM CRITICISM OF HIS MANAGERIAL ABILITIES.

The penalty decisions aside , celtic had chances in front off goal and didnt play as well or want it as much as hearts , once again no bottle

Why do celtic falter in the big games , even a dismantled and demoralised rangers side showed them what spirit is

he was right about one thing , he did bring back the thunder , well the look of thunder on the faces of the celtic support Laugh

lennon should have had more class

its not good enough playing tin the SPL when celtic only have 1 team to compete against, being only able to win the league based on your 1 rival losing points through poor finances.
The 2 cups should be a given with the ammount of money and wages celtic have spent.

celtic need to change their manager.

dg123...I bow to your superior knowledge. Rangers never had a policy of not signing catholics and the fact that Souness had to say he would only take the job if such a policy was ended does not mean a thing. Loke you I will leave it at that as when someone is in complete denial it can be most dangerous to try and reason with him.
