Had a ton on villa to go down 3 weeks ago at 32.0...theyve come in to 13's now. Liverpool and Man-utd away next 2 games followed by home draw against stoke. What do we reckon, leave it or run?

Let it run mate. The football we're playing is awful

Good price..Let it run..Those teams at the bottom are fighting hard...

I would get your stake back for now -  Wigan and QPR are away at Chelsea and ManU when Villa go to Liverpool.  Liverpool are awful atm and Villa might be brought together by Petrov's illness.  Villa are then at home to Stoke (before the trip to ManU) while Wigan host ManU.  Bolton and Blackburn have easier games for sure, but none of them are certain to pick up points.

McLeish has form, looks an very shrewd bet to me! Good luck.

Let it run!
Next two away games at liverpool and Man U looks like two heavy defeats to me.
QPR,Bolton,Wigan and Blackburn have all started to win games so Villa will be well in the thick of it after the easter period.
McLeish looking at his 3rd relegation in 4 seasons.

Liverpool do not defeat anyone heavily
Report TiredandWeary April 2, 2012 1:34 AM BST
Didnt they beat Everton 3-0 recently?
And it is fair to say Everton are playing slightly better than Villa atm.
Report bob_terwilliger April 2, 2012 1:35 AM BST
trade in 2 games
Report blackburn1 April 2, 2012 7:49 AM BST
The Petrov thing won't help, morale looks low and the fans hate the manager.

Would be a shame but not a surprise, I think the price will shorten
Report Mariner Paul April 2, 2012 11:34 AM BST
I can't see Villa getting relegated to be honest.

I see it the other way. An incident like this can bring the squad together in a kind of 'let's do it for Petrov' type of way.

To be honest i think they only need 4-5 points from their last 8 games to be safe, i'm sure they'll get them.
Report bob_terwilliger April 2, 2012 11:42 AM BST
agreed Bizzo. like Bolton with Muamba
Report Hamsterdam April 2, 2012 8:16 PM BST
The Petrov "thing" won't help because he is our captain and one of our best players. Our midfield for the rest of the season is just kids basically.

lets hope so !! vile club ,,vile fans (deluded) west midlands wastelands.....

I would trade out. One good result for Villa and i think they will be safe. Great spot though, well done.
Report Hamsterdam April 2, 2012 8:23 PM BST
Leave it two matches (away vs Liverpool and Manure) then trade out. Trust me on this. Liverpool aren't great but they'll beat us on Saturday, rest assured.
Report cherrypicker April 2, 2012 8:25 PM BST
Green Up Villa will be safe just

Report sugarfoot April 2, 2012 10:22 PM BST
perhaps I am missing something because fwics the next two fixtures are:

Premier League     Liverpool V Aston Villa Sat 7 Apr
Premier League     Aston Villa V Stoke     Mon 9 Apr

and yet at least two posters are saying that the next two are away at Liverpool and ManU
Report prepared83 April 2, 2012 10:23 PM BST
Sugarfoot your right mate. That stoke game will be massive though
Report VillaDEMON April 2, 2012 10:44 PM BST
We'll get a point against Liverpool and weve still gotta play Bolton which we will beat, we wont go down, no chance!
Report VillaDEMON April 2, 2012 10:55 PM BST
Alot of people are missing the fact that we have that game in hand on everyone else against Bolton at home! Mostly deluded Blues fans but there you go.

Lets see where likely the points are....

Sat 7            15:00    A    Liverpool                 = 1 point maybe 0
Mon 9    17:30    H    Stoke City                 = 1 point
Sun 15    16:00    A    Manchester United     = 0 points
Sat 21    15:00    H    Sunderland                 = 1 point
Tue 24    19:45    H    Bolton Wanderers        = 3 points
Sat 28    15:00    A    West Bromwich Albion = 1 or 3 points
Sun 6    14:00    H    Tottenham Hotspur     = 1 point
Sun 13    15:00    A    Norwich City                = 1 point maybe 3

You idiots that think were gonna go down might want to check QPR and Wigan's final set of fixtures.........cant see them picking up many more points!
Report stonecold- April 2, 2012 11:26 PM BST
if you do stay up think you will myself better hope to get rid of mccliesh for next season most negative manager ever
Report VillaDEMON April 2, 2012 11:32 PM BST
Yep most definatly but cant see Randy changing manager anytime soon after seeing how much the club has spent on managers in recent years......hope im wrong.
Report Glossy April 2, 2012 11:37 PM BST
Villa would do well to appoint one of:

Brian McDermott
Rafael Benitez (unlikely)
Gus Poyet
Ian Holloway

Any of these would produce some proper football and be better that McLeish.
