1) You missed out the "after 6 minutes of play" skullery. It's impossible to score 3 goals and celebrate title deciding style in 6 minutes if the opposition is any more capable than the local brownie XI.

2) You missed out the fact that was a title decider. The destination of the title was not in any doubt before today.

In any sport if someone is found to have cheated it's their past victories that become tainted. Only with Rangers in Scotland could there ever be the suggestion that it's the opposition's victories that have become tainted.
