Guys ... serious question ... is Old Trafford a sh itty area of manchester ? I am going to a concert in June at the ethihad and was looking for somewhere to stay ... the premier inns in manchester center are all over 100 that night, probably as they know there will be demmand due to concert, however the one at old trafford is still 29 quid .... Is there any reason for this ? If you go further out the price rises again .... Im taking kids and dont want to end up in a ghetto....

No, but the Council House is(Ethiad) in a awful area. I suggest if you are worried about going into a ghetto, bin the concert off.
