I wonder who liquidation would benefit. Now who worked with them before buying the club and had them lined up to be the preferred administrators?

Bye bye Rangers

Can it possibly get any worse for Rangers?.....

An inquiry into the Rangers Charity Foundation has been launched after it revealed the crisis-hit club would receive most of its proceeds from a friendly match.

The Ibrox club are hosting a game between former players of both Rangers and AC Milan later this month.
It had originally been organised to raise funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation, which was going to receive 60% of all money gathered by the game on March 30.

The charity, which has donated more than £2.3m to various causes since it was set up in 2002, has reduced the amount it will take from the game to 10%, meaning the majority of the money raised will go to the club, which is currently in administration.

On Tuesday, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator confirmed it had been made aware of "concerns" regarding the game after the change to the benefactors.

A spokesman for the regulator said: "We can confirm that we have an ongoing inquiry into the Rangers Charity Foundation. It would therefore not be appropriate to comment further."

some real ill informed nonsense being written on this thread , prods and catholics has 0% to do with what is happening to RFC at the moment , dont see Celtic having to much difficulty attracting 50,000 to Parkhead every 2 weeks say 20 times a Season with only 2 of these games being against Rangers 4 at a maximum with Sky money only accounting for 3% of Celtics current income , and with regards to RFCs future it cannot be in Div 3 , 2 or 1 in Scotland it can only be as they exist at the moment or as a New Co but only in the SPL and thats only if they are voted in , so in short here is what can happen

Rangers stay in the SPL as they are after coming to an agreement with their Creditors in the form of a CVA , this is highly unlikely as their Main Creditor is HMRC , yet this is what Craig Whyte is claiming will happen .

Rangers are bought over by a Sugar Daddy/Daddies that pay off all their Debt (anything up to £75m) and they remain in the SPL trading as normal as Glasgow Rangers , again highly unlikely as who in their right mind would take on such a Debt as well as a Company currently running at a £1m loss per month ?

Rangers Win their case against HMRC are bought over and drastic cuts are made in order that they can run the Club at a profit and remain in the SPL

Rangers go into Liquidation and cease to trade as Glasgow Rangers they could then reform as a New Co and re apply to join  the SPL which obviously can go one or two ways , a Yes and they are back in a different form in the SPL though in a much weakened state eg No European Revenue for at least 3 years and with a Squad starting from scratch , a NO and they have nowhere to go and therefore cease to exist

On top of all that they have an SFA Inquiry into Financial Irregularities (2 Contracts) to survive as this too can put them out of business , a Legal Inquiry into Craig Whytes right to be a Fit and Rightful Owner/Director of a Company , a probable UEFA Investigation into their Business Transactions and the owning to  Ticketus the amount of £24m for future Season Ticket Sales .

All in All I'd say their Future is anything but Orange/Bright

Isn't a Yes Vote very likely in that scenario, with 4 games a season v Rangers a big part of the income of most Clubs?

A New Rangers would be debt free, in the SPL , 40,000 crowds..... Only the creditors lose. How likely is that?

With a No Vote could they just restart in Scottish Non league like all the English Clubs who went bust did?
