THEY MUST BE worthless ,or the administrator failing in his job , of using every possible means ,to get funds together ,to satisfy the creditors , who he is working on behalf of .
HMRC alone are looking for 9 million only for starters .
Everything that moves or anybody wants is a price .
Used as an example to clubs the party is over ,clean up begins new brooms in soon to bid for the remains of what was Rangers .

3 weeks for something that should of happened in the first few days - add in trying to sign Cousin on 7.5k a week you would think the administrators don't want Rangers to come out of this situation
I wonder who liquidation would benefit. Now who worked with them before buying the club and had them lined up to be the preferred administrators?
Bye bye Rangers

An inquiry into the Rangers Charity Foundation has been launched after it revealed the crisis-hit club would receive most of its proceeds from a friendly match.
The Ibrox club are hosting a game between former players of both Rangers and AC Milan later this month. It had originally been organised to raise funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation, which was going to receive 60% of all money gathered by the game on March 30.
The charity, which has donated more than £2.3m to various causes since it was set up in 2002, has reduced the amount it will take from the game to 10%, meaning the majority of the money raised will go to the club, which is currently in administration.
On Tuesday, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator confirmed it had been made aware of "concerns" regarding the game after the change to the benefactors.
A spokesman for the regulator said: "We can confirm that we have an ongoing inquiry into the Rangers Charity Foundation. It would therefore not be appropriate to comment further."

Celtic supporters make me laugh. If Rangers go under just who will watch Scottish football next year ? Crowds are tiny outside of the Old Firm and with only one "Giant" (relatively speaking) you might as well pack the whole game up.Don't think that English football would welcome you with open arms as the English police would not allow it.

Liquidation is only good if they are demoted to the 2nd division as they will escape all their debts .
Better if they are forced to repay most of the money, keeping them skint for the next 10 years.

You are absolutely right the ignorance is laughable. Peter Lawwell is the worst offender spouting bravado and BS about how the club will flourish and become a force in europe without their rivals, the man is a cretinous moron of the highest order that makes himself and the club look stupid as frequently as he can.

With the suggestion that rangers will be unable to fulfill all their remaining fixtures I wonder if the administrators are now hoping for relegation to the first division? This may be their escape route. Chick Young stated that the only route to the lower divisions would be through relegation, and it is no certainty that in the event of liquidation the SPL members would vote them back into the SPL as a newco.

unlikely for nobody to come out the woodwork flashing a checkbook with funds init ?
the administrator is in charge and has the total say ,to any agreement ,,and the courts put him in that position ,pity players could not see sense , and will now be pushed .
...15 amateurs can play till end of season costing nothing to give breathing space to find a buyer ,longer it goes on less and less for creditors ,as he needed to keep the players as assets on the balance sheet ...pretty sad day for whole of football world wide and a wake up call , golden goose no longer laying eggs .....................? HMRC had stacks out the club over years starting with 20% off every game V.A.T. A LOT OF LOLLY .
all clubs watching how this lot unfolds ,ready to travel in RANGERS FOOTSTEPS .

some real ill informed nonsense being written on this thread , prods and catholics has 0% to do with what is happening to RFC at the moment , dont see Celtic having to much difficulty attracting 50,000 to Parkhead every 2 weeks say 20 times a Season with only 2 of these games being against Rangers 4 at a maximum with Sky money only accounting for 3% of Celtics current income , and with regards to RFCs future it cannot be in Div 3 , 2 or 1 in Scotland it can only be as they exist at the moment or as a New Co but only in the SPL and thats only if they are voted in , so in short here is what can happen
Rangers stay in the SPL as they are after coming to an agreement with their Creditors in the form of a CVA , this is highly unlikely as their Main Creditor is HMRC , yet this is what Craig Whyte is claiming will happen .
Rangers are bought over by a Sugar Daddy/Daddies that pay off all their Debt (anything up to £75m) and they remain in the SPL trading as normal as Glasgow Rangers , again highly unlikely as who in their right mind would take on such a Debt as well as a Company currently running at a £1m loss per month ?
Rangers Win their case against HMRC are bought over and drastic cuts are made in order that they can run the Club at a profit and remain in the SPL
Rangers go into Liquidation and cease to trade as Glasgow Rangers they could then reform as a New Co and re apply to join the SPL which obviously can go one or two ways , a Yes and they are back in a different form in the SPL though in a much weakened state eg No European Revenue for at least 3 years and with a Squad starting from scratch , a NO and they have nowhere to go and therefore cease to exist
On top of all that they have an SFA Inquiry into Financial Irregularities (2 Contracts) to survive as this too can put them out of business , a Legal Inquiry into Craig Whytes right to be a Fit and Rightful Owner/Director of a Company , a probable UEFA Investigation into their Business Transactions and the owning to Ticketus the amount of £24m for future Season Ticket Sales .
All in All I'd say their Future is anything but Orange/Bright

There needs to be an investigation into the Administrators .
How can it be over 3 weeks since they went in and no redundancies?
By my figures thats over 3/4 million they have squandered of creditors money.

At the administrators very first press conference it seemed strange when they said they'd had ties with rangers for the previous 6 months. Plus the administrators were in favour of signing Daniel Cousin on £7500 pw when the club was in administration. FFS, what good was that going to do the creditors???

Unfortunately I dont like to see a club get themselves into this type of scenario ,as its a precious asset to fans , local jobs ,local economy generally ..butcher baker etc , and country as well .
Sorry day ,,their will be more as time goes ,,on this one is small edge of the wedge , only thing , its not the banks that called them in , how did they miss out ,RANGERS must have exhausted banks patience earlier ? wages too high by a mile ....? CRAZY ....

Isn't a Yes Vote very likely in that scenario, with 4 games a season v Rangers a big part of the income of most Clubs?
A New Rangers would be debt free, in the SPL , 40,000 crowds..... Only the creditors lose. How likely is that?
With a No Vote could they just restart in Scottish Non league like all the English Clubs who went bust did?

petrie from hibs was mentioning sporting integrity if rangers are liquidated
It would look very bad indeed for football if they were able to effectively walk away from the debt and just resume under a slightly different name with no consequences for their league status .

if they are allowed straight back in as a new company debt free having dumped 70 mill of debts while others are loaded with debt from years of trying to keep up with them
the other teams will only have themself to blame when supporters turn their backs on it and say whats the feckin point
would hearts be able to go down a newco route to escape theirs ?
no doubt if they do get back in rules will be changed so it cant happen again

liquidation looks a cert but they will come back as a new club the same day they are hoping to do it at the end of the season if they can get there as it will be alot easier to sort out

But as you stated earlier how the fcuk is that going to look, racking up huge debts and slithering away from paying tax especially in this climate and just setting up the next day??? "We don't do walking away"....unless it is from debts we owe

the assets will be sold by the administrators to someone who sets up a new company and the money received from this will be paid first to any secured creditors what they are owed then anything left divided between the remaining creditors and the old company is liquidated HMRC are not a secured creditor

That awkward moment when the tax-man turns up at Ibrox How very noble of Naismith to finally, reluctantly agree to take a %75 pay cut while there is %100 certainty that he won't kick a ball for the rest of the season anyway. Very commendable. My hero!

Personally I hope they disappear off the face of the earth. They are the rallying point for the right wing s c u m of Scotland. Unfortunately it won't happen but maybe a decade or two in the wilderness will see their influence wane.
