just had a search over the forum (havent been on since middle/late january) and seen there was a few people who were talking about my bet!
Its still running, its to win every game, and i backed it for £10 at 2500/1! there are a few people who managed to get 10000/1! before ladbrokes realised this was a big msitake! Laddies stand to lose 2.5 mil if this pisses in!
Celtic have been hammering sides away from home, however the goals have dried up at celtic park!!
9 games to go, and the bet is currently 5/1! Ladbrokes PR guy said back in october that there was more chance of Mcdonalds scrapping burgers than this bet coming up!
I tweeted him this quote with a ;) , he replied saying they are getting very worried about this one!
Heres my dilema, 9 games and i win 25k, however if was able to settle for around 2-4k (4k being very wishful) it would be better to put all that money on the remaining games seperately (ie. what ever i win on one game with the full stake of my settlement, i put the whole lot on the next game) it would actually work out better odds than what im currently getting, taking in to account celtic would be 1.3sh for any home game , and 1.5 for aways, and old firms being 1.8sh.
just thought id give yous guys an update!
Im a 22 year old skint! who follows the glorious glasgow celtic :) will be an epic ending to my final year at uni if it comes in!!
i remember reading about your bet a bit ago, forgot about it and dont really follow scottish footy that much so didnt realise it was still runnning! id be getting worried now mate! but anyways as you stand to lose 25000 if they lose, what are you doing?? are you laying them every game so if they do lose you will at least make some money?? but no offence but have you got enough money in your bank on here to lay them for large amounts for the last 9 games?

rangers getting docked so many points should be a factor, in the last few games
celtic will switch off eventually unless Lennon is mad keen to win every game
any tricky away trips to sides looking to stay up?

Just been looking through their fixtures, the last time they failed to win was the 29th October!!
And they haven't conceded an away goal since the 6th november!
Tough league!

As someone who has been in the game a while, take it from me, trade the bet. It might be more difficult than you think, though. I'd expect the odds to come right down if they manage to beat Rangers at Ibrox next time, you're looking at an 8/1 shot then. If it gets that far, you'll have some real bargaining power.
Even if the bet comes up, it's good practice to have traded some of it and if you're good at spotting value, the 4k you might take out of it can be the start of a proper betting bank.

Hang in there a bit longer for more bargaining power with the bookie if you can manage to strike up a deal with say 4-5 games left then go for it. good luck

Why don't you make an offer on here at Betfair for 5-6 K Some rich punter might settle it for you and take the risk . You get out at 5k and they take the risk for 25K He puts the 5k in an escrow account for you and you send him the bet slip when cleared He gets 5/1 shot on a very good bet

you wont get another chance to make 25k for a tenner like this ,let it run a lttle longer there is little more u can do unless u have funds to start laying off ,in which case you could ask bf to put a win out market up ,they would do that for you as there would probably be a bit of interest anyway ,g luck ...

pretty sure it was before that goldcup, think it was around the time celtic were about 10 points down on rangers and everyone was saying the league was already over and rangers had it won

bloody hell this could bean epic bet good luck mate, the good thing in your favour if you are laying them every game they will be reasonably short in all there games hence not a large payout if they win (apart from rangers) good luck mate il watch on with interest!!

A win on Saturday should be no problem. Celtic always get the decisions at Aberdeen. You name it, Celtic get it, and if they don't get it, it's a conspiracy. They never lose fair and square, ever. No doubt Lennon will have his boys primed to lose their balance in the box at every opportunity this weekend.
Hopefully Craig Broon has the balls to take the players off once we get our usual penalty and red card given against us.

Good Luck with your Bet are you on to Win Every Game or to remain unbeaten till the end of the Season ? I took the latter at 100/1 again with Laddies in early January , still have some tricky Away Days to come but we dont have to face any Teams in the Relegation Fight once the Split kicks in , Awe Ra Best

id take a profit now if possible, once the league is over (mathamatically) its hard for players to be motivated winning games when their essentially playing for nothing,id take a profit and run now if i were u

When he refers to 9 games left this means League games. Cup games don't count in his bet. Celtic have a BIG squad so there will be no let up. I know Lenny wants to win every game that is left. We have a max of 13 games left which includes the 2 Cups.
All the best with the bet. If it comes in u will be able to buy loads of Ice Cream & Jelly

Cash out if you can, very unlikely Celtic will win every game especially if Hooper picks up a knock or two or gets rested for finals and the like.
Good luck fella.KTFCash out if you can, very unlikely Celtic will win every game especially if Hooper picks up a knock or two or gets rested for finals and the like.

That was my first thought but the longer the run continues the more determined they will be to keep it intact. Don't make a deal with the bookmakers as you'll get ripped off. You could have asked the old betfair to put up a market on it but I don't know if the current soulless outfit would accommodate you.

Cash out before sat.when the dandy dons will end the run.
Seriously though i would try and tie up a profit, can,t see Celtic winning every game till the end of the season.

It could generate some good will as the prices at PP & Lads are a joke considering the likely remaining fixtures.
I can see why they're not offering a two way price.

I wouldn't call closing out months after the bet trading.
Hello Alias, long time no hear. Things are looking good on the independence front.

Feck, you have a way with words but trading is trading. Very hard lines now of course, I just hope the guy managed to flog some of his bet one way or another.
I'm fairly confident for the referendum Feck. Salmond is playing a good game. The big problem (as always for me) is the younger voters. Apathy rules and ironically it's the under 30s who have most to gain imo.

I matters not the standard they bear but where their X goes.
My team is, I think, the only one in the SPL which incorporates the Saltire in its club badge.

The Scottish flag flies over Celtic Park Alias. Anyway, forget this sh1te. Here's hoping we shake off the shackles of the foreign land occupiers, murderers and oil stealers.

Agreed Feck, but you could try to persuade a few of your cohorts that they might like to wave the Saltire as well, instead of the banner of another nearby celtic nation.
I still say that the result will be determined in favour of whichever side (if any) can motivate the 18 - 25 vote, and if it's the other side or no side, then the status quo and/or apathy rules.

Bookies reveal Celtic's draw with Aberdeen saved them a fortune
Mar 4 2012 By Derek Alexander http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news WORRIED bookies yesterday dodged a record £5million payout – thanks to an own goal by Celtic youngster Andre Blackman.
Hoops midfielder Joe Ledley sparked a betting frenzy in October when he said Celtic would have to win every game until the end of the season to have any chance of gaining the SPL title.
Fans queued up to pile on the cash when Ladbrokes priced the Parkhead club as 10,000/1 to sweep to victory in every match they played.
Anxious bookmakers then slashed the odds to 2500/1, then 1000/1 when the team kept winning and Rangers slumped into adminstration.
And before yesterday’s match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie the odds had been cut to just 5/1.
But an own goal by debut boy Blackman, 21, put an end to Celtic’s 17-game winning streak – and saved the betting industry a record loss.
Celtic’s Anthony Stokes had given his team the lead before luckless Blackman diverted a shot into his own net a minute before half-time.
Ladbrokes spokesman Alex Donohue said last night: “The payout would have been £5million and it would have landed the biggest gamble in Scottish football betting history.
“The prospect of Celtic winning every game kept us awake at night for months on end.
“We are raising a glass to Aberdeen tonight.” Celtic are a massive 21 points in front of rivals Rangers, who were docked 10 points after going into administration last month.
Some bookmakers have already paid punters who bet on Celtic winning the league at the start of the season.
