steady Steady! Maggot did have the good grace to start thread, so fairs fair my man.
anyway, I am going to stick on the draw as I see it as a good result for IM, and given the splendid advice on the thread i am not so sure marseille have the quality to win. |

The key things to consider in this game are:
- Marseille are on a long unbeaten run - something like 15 games. - Inter Milan are on an awful run of form, and lost 3-0 at home to relegation-threatened Bologna with the likes of Forlan, Sneijder, Pazzini and Maicon. They also lost 1-0 at home to cannon fodder Novara. - Inter boss Ranieri said his side will be more geared towards Champions League than Serie A. As much as I like him, it's hard to see how their skill can translate to the big stage. You can say "yeah we'll concentrate on Europe" but to lose at home like that suggests their minds are elsewhere - and they're not committed. It puts pressure on them to do well here and I'm not sure pressure is what they need right now. - Marseille are not the best, and are missing Remy through injury. But they've got Brandao who is in good form and the excellent Valbuena out wide who can cause any team problems. Marseille 30 S. Mandanda 15 J. Morel 21 S. Diawara 2 Azpilicueta 3 N. N'Koulou 4 A. Diarra 18 M. Amalfitano 7 B. Cheyrou 28 M. Valbuena 9 Brandão 20 A. Ayew Inter Milan 1 Júlio César 6 Lúcio 4 J. Zanetti 13 Maicon 25 W. Samuel 26 C. Chivu 10 W. Sneijder 19 E. Cambiasso 5 D. Stanković 9 D. Forlán 28 M. Zárate Five defenders in the Inter side suggests they want to prevent a defeat here and ground the tie out back home. They're an excellent counter attacking side on their day - look back to their performance at the Nou Camp a few years back - but on current form, it's hard to back them. I have a lay of Inter here. Advice for anyone betting on the game is not to say who's the best team on paper. If you'd have done that lately then Inter would have cost you. Good luck to everyone who places a bet! |

not one to stick my neck out but to me inter are a cracking bet at the price and they will score tonight no danger and with the formation they are putting out 5 defenders absolute banker bet against a poor marseille side who are struggling to score themselves 0-1 0-2.

good man ^

By:
Liggy - you say Marseille are struggling to score. Where do you come to that conclusion?
The reason I ask is that Marseille have only failed to score in 1 in the last 15 games since the 27th November. Are you speaking more about the way they're playing, rather than the stats? |
By:
Marseille lost twice at home in the group stage and looked total sh1te in the process. Inter are in horrible form. I couldn't pick a bet for this game.
By:
Surprised Inter have left Nagatomo and Milito on the bench - two of their better players this year. Even more surprised they are starting with Zarate who is far from the best.
If Milito comes off the bench that could turn it in Inter's favour. He's clinical and still has it in him. Marseille have Jordon Ayew on the bench and could have an impact late on if he's on the field. |

no remi is big blow for marseille just see hwo they struggled on the weekend against valenceninness
By:
dan dan the logical man but logic is not the action plan just ask stan and his dad n gran both of them backing inter milan
By:
you can't teach that.
By:
dan-411 i meant the way they have been playing ie two group games and valencein game not every game also they have lost remi as mentioned in previous forums so thats why i can see a milan win just think they might have to much fire power on the break.

By:
marseille for me, inter are just so unreliable, well capable of winning though.

Interesting start to the game. Marseille are clearly up for this but can't judge it till we see what Inter will be like when they get on the ball.
