United full team out only chance of a trophy, Not many youngsters in squad, But it's europe it's a well known fact fergie is tactically naive
By:
United should be slighly odds against even with their first team, so 1.84 is pretty awful of they are leaving anyone out

Ajax have been awful since returning from their winter break. If Fergie plays a decent side i'd expect United to be too strong for them. Lay Ajax.

WRONG AGAIN Ajax are in big crisis |

There is a program on BBC1 at the same time as the match - POINTLESS

Giggs and Berbatov injured, Evra rested.
I think 1.84 is pretty decent odds seeing how bad Ajax are at the moment but i think laying Ajax is the better option as United don't have to win as they'll smash them at Old Trafford. |

Evra rested because of the sh1t he would get off tha Ajax fans , sh1thouse

Never a good bet backing Man U away in europe. Fergie expects to get the job done every time at OT and picks a team that is 'just good enough'
By:
if united reserves cannot beat an out of sorts ajax he may get rid of them all.man utd are different class in every department.
By:
Not sure I understand all these stupid comments about Evra not wanting to take stick off the Ajax fans. If that was the case, wouldn't he have been 'rested' for the FA Cup match at Anfield.
Anyway to the game. Man Utd had a superb away record in Europe until the Basle game. I expect them to win tonight. |

That was one leg and they wanted to win it 10x more than they give a to$$ about this comp (being LFC and all) |

If team that played against Palace is on, 3 or 4-0 Ajax, anything else 1-1
By:
After tonight, they don't play again until the 2nd leg next thursday. Fergie will play a strong side.
By:
1.89 for Man Utd is pretty good .
I watched Ajax against Utrecht and they were absolutely appalling , one of the worst performances I've seen from any team ever. Yes they really are that bad . Man Utd are playing this Ajax team when their(Ajax) confidence will be really low. I'd be very surprised if Man Utd don't win this. |

After tonight, they don't play again until the 2nd leg next thursday. Fergie will play a strong side. Good point... and fergie took most of his first team players. Surely it was for them play and get the win so 2nd leg can be treated with a different mindset. |
By:
dailymail has an article which talks about how welback forget his passport but made sure to carry the DM newspaper on the flight lol
By:
Exactly, Fergie will more than likely be thinking get the job done tonight then rest players for the 2nd leg, which is just 3 days before a lunchtime sunday game away to Norwich

Man united drifting out
evens now....... |
By:
Over reaction to Evra not playing?
By:
I rate ManU about 1.75 for an accumulation
of reasons, so good value at near evens IMO. I won't be backing them though as I hate backing away teams at odds on, especially in two legged affairs. |

ajax is a joke team united will win easy today

This should be a comfortable night for Man United, Fergie will want to win to get the job done tonight so he can rest a few in the 2nd leg at OT. Can see a 3 or 4 nil job tonight. With no game at the weekend can almost be assured all the players will be buzzing and Ajax have quite a few injuries to contend with... Would take Man U at anything above 2.0 and over 2.5 at anything above 2.0 as well.
By:
Yeah, I'm trying to get matched backing Man U at evens
By:
Didn't get matched
![]() Had to settle for £2k at 1.98. In the absence of unexpected news, Man U odds will drop like a stone. |

Very strong Man.Utd line-up: De Gea; Jones, Ferdinand, Evans, Fabio; Nani, Carrick, Cleverley, Young; Rooney, Hernández

Can you use the words "strong line up" and "de gea, evans" in the same sentence?

well they wa in the team that did liverpool pretty easy :) fergie put strong line up out wants to kill it off in first leg with couple of away goals

Poor Ajax lineup missing van der Wiel, Enoh, Janssen and Ebecilio. 8 of their side are under 23. United will murder them.
