I agree, but the difference between 2.05 and 2.45
is huge, and I see it as an over reaction. GL to
you if you think L'pool are even fair value at 2.05ish.

Kaboul is missing for Spurs so that's a blow.

That's a big blow. Dawson and King so?

I doubt i'll bother with match odds on this as neither of the 3 outcomes would surprise me. Too tight to call.

I assume you'll be laying liverpool if you think those odds are so wrong?

Is Kaboul a really big blow RF? King and Dawson much weaker?

Sorry Sofa, just completely repeated your question!

I think kaboul is superior to Dawson CCM.

I'm not saying that's the reason for the price btw.

No worries. Grin.    Dawson more error-prone.   Kaboul's been great this season and hugely improved at centre back.

By the way there is an interesting bonus bet on Bet365: You place a bet on Liverpool vs Tottenham before the game starts and you get 1 free livebet and if you lose it you get your money back. Too bad it's capped at €25, so your bet before the game has to be at least €25, so you can place a livebet for €25 too.

Kaboul has been brilliant this season. Really developing into a top centre-half.

i have a vague recollection that skrtel was right back in the reverse fixture at the lane Shocked

the opening minutes saw us sliced open 3 or 4 times down the left, no one often within 20 yards of bale, we looked all over the place.

surely this was just a mad dream

fwiw i think kelly is the best man we have for that particular role, i think defensively he has a much better defensive brain than johnson.

If you have a solid right-back, Bale will room. I think we'll be more 4-3-3 tonight anyway, which will give Bale license.

If Lennon, Defoe, Kaboul, and Ade are out, I imagine we'd play:

-------friedel
walker--dawson--king--bae
-----sandro---parker
--------modric
---vdv---saha---bale

The front 3 will be given a lot of freedom. Bale, in particular, goes everywhere when we play this way.

Hopefully, Ade is fit to start. Nobody seems to know for sure.

stridingedge... we had this debate on our thread last week. Whilst I would agree Kelly is generally better defensively, when GJ is asked to a job on one particualr player, he has been brilliant in the past.

I think he will relish trying to do the job on Bale tonight, and think he will handle him really well. I'd definitely like to see Kuyt in at RM to try and help him though. His workrate could be key tonight.

I'll take Liverpool with spurs injury worries here. No Kaboul or Gallas and rumours picking up that Van Der Vaart won't be fit. Doubts over fitness of Walker and King though I think Walker should make it. Could mean a start for Ryan Nelsen at the back though if King is out too.

i know he's mobile but i'd rather see him having to roam than having a free run down the left whenever he felt like it.

he's an exceptional player.

It's not just mobility, he is playing more as a forward this season, than a pure left-winger. Hence his 9 league goals so far. It's no longer a case of being able to double up on him down the left and close off the space, he pops up everywhere now. His first goal against Wigan the other night is a good example, where he runs from deep from a right/central position. Ghosted in, Modric found him and 1-0.

praying Saha starts, probably in the same way that spurs want to see the big man up front for LFC. Saha is complete garbage.

When: 06 Feb 12 13:31
ok dza mate i'm not arguing with you on his mobility, i have seen him all over the pitch that's true.

my point still stands that in the WHL game he had the freedom of london, quite remarkable really when it's obvious the damage he can do. in that match he was given space down the left time after time and that was suicide from virtually the first whistle.

Yeah, if you have someone who isn't really a full-back (Skirtel) then Harry would just say "bomb down the f**king left!" Laugh.

It'll be a much harder game for him and the rest of them tonight, I know that. I hope that Pool start with Carroll and Suarzez -- and not because I think Carroll is that bad, but because: 1. I think our midfield will win the battle if you only have 2 centre-mids. And 2. I think that Dawson and King have handled Carroll and Suarez well in the past, and that seems to be our likely pair in the game tonight.

I'm having to work while the game is on, I'm gutted to miss it. Hopefully my txt updates will be positive ones, from a Spurs point of view!

will Charlie Adam start for Liverpool I wonder?

I like to back him to be shown a card when playing against one of the top teams. Just not quite good enough at this level and gets found out for pace. He'll also likely try and put his regular mark on Gareth Bale's shin the dirty rotter!!
By:

charlie adam was a poor buy

he has the legs of a 40 year old, adam and gerrard in the middle is a poor central pair. most teams would fancy over running them.

I'll be amazed if Kenny cant work out that Adam is a complete no brainer to not play this game RF.

I'm hoping he sticks with Spearing. Hoping to see the following side for us:

---------------------------Reina-----------------------
Johnson------------Skrtel----------Agger--------Enrique
------------------Henderson------Spearing--------------
----Kuyt------------------Gerrard-----------Bellamy----
--------------------------Suarez-----------------------

But not holding my breath.... I have a horrible feeling Suarez might be on the bench and AC start.

i still like kuyt for games like this and he's shown a good response to being left out this season, a good pro.

He has striding. And he always plays better with a run of games under his belt, so could see him improving and improving if Kenny sticks with him.

He's not made wild chnages tbh RF. When he has had everyone available, he's used the same 8 or 9 consistently. Tends to make most chnages involving Downing, Maxi, Bellamy and Kuyt.

Spurs are a massive price at 4.5 - and I'm a Gooner. They're a much better side than Liverpool and no way should be 7/2 whilst Liverpool are evens. The 3.2 on Spuds in Draw No Bet is a great value bet too.
