You misunderstand me cob.  I am content sitting in mediocrity in sixth.

He had a bit of cash Kenny.  To be fair to him though, he generally got the big signings right (besides Keane).  Torres, Alonso, Mascharano, Reina, Agger, Lucas etc.

Had Bellamy played for you Pand, you'd like him.

Can see how he winds people up the wrong way mind you.

If Bellamy had ever played for us it would have meant we were second rate.

David de Gea, Anderson, Welbeck, the list goes on Pand, many supposed 2nd rate players have played/play for united.
By:
Pandorica
When: 21 Jan 12 23:15
I know.
Anderson is one but then there's O'Shea, Brown, Park and Fletcher to name  but a few. How they've managed to get 22 titles between them is a total mystery.

How many titles has Anderson won Pand?

if you are going to talk about net spend then you could say that dalglish has done not too bad. he spent £110m on 11 players and recouped £75m on 14 players. net spend=£35m.

ssssssh paul, no point saying that, lets round it up to 100m in Kennys case but of course for Rafa just go by net spend.

Not a bad return for a 23 year old, just in my opinion of course.

Still he might have a hat-trick of League Cup medals by the end of the season.

I'd swear Stevie G is the only professional footballer to have never won a Premier League Medal.

I'll guarantee hes the only player ever to score in a League cup, F.A cup, Uefa Cup, and Champions league final though.

pity he didnt score in a title winning match ,,,,ooops ,,ye wafflers ,,,the pool are mediocre at best ,arrogance against lesser teams is where the problems begin ,,,ye expect teams to lie down ,,wake up it aint the 80s anymore ,every team has a go nowadays and the players should learn that beating man city by playing with passion is whats needed week in week out ,not just when they feel like it,,,,

and by the way even im level with stevie g on premier league titles ,,boooooom

I agree Hamsterdam, I dont back against my own team but I can imagine it would have to be profitable, Everton are the same though, when they play teams outside the top 6 at home their prices are comical always worth a Lay!

WTF talk abou getting stabbed in the back

Woahh!!!!  Kenny was allegedly helping Hodgson, was he, not imo he was looking after number one & putting himself forward in my eyes for the job.  With all the shouts of Kenny for manager he should have stepped aside & given Hodgson the chance.

Now it's turn his name's on the block.  Trouble is he's also spewed a £100 mill down the b*g, he's a much worse manager than Hodgson or Benitez.  He was when in his last job at Newcastle a decade ago.

Should we be loyal to someone whose clearly garbage, no, we need an experienced manager (without the history lesson)

Dalglish won the league with Liverpool and Blackburn and finished second at Newcastle. To say he is a worse manager than Hodgson and Benitez is clearly bolox. Hodgson is a good coach for a medium sized club, Benitez is the master of two leg cup ties, while Dalglish has actually won a Premier League title. It could be that Kenny's time has gone, that he's taken too long out of the game, but he's proven he's a good manager.

paul appreciate you teaking the time to post but what youve said is clearly bllx.

He originally took over a great Liverpool side but allowed it to age without replacing the players.  It started to unfold & the next manager had to rebuild.

Dalglish after being given a fortune by jack walker, way in excess of others, nearly took blackburn down the next season & bailed out before he was sacked if I remember.  He was terrible at Newcastle & was sacked as they were struggling after him taking over a great team. Noone gets sacked for doing a good job

Dalglish wanted the Liverpool job before Hodgson & made it well known to the extent the next manager didnt stand a chance.  Fans constantly singing his name meant Hodgson was a dead man walking as he took over the job

Please dont talk about loyalty.  Hodgson showed him loyalty by giving him a job within the club.  If he had any loyalty himself he wouldnt have took over fron the man that brought him back.

reina, torres and alonso did well but what about josemi, nunez, morientes, kromkamp, gonzalez, babel, pennant, keane, itandje, paletta, degan, dossena, pellegrino, voronin, riera and aquilani?

Thats a good list Paul, the only 1 i feel you're being slightly harsh on is Riera . We had our best campaign and finished 2nd in the league when Riera was on the left, he done well , not spectacular but gave us good width and balance.

THS, Kenny obviously benefited from Fagan's team to win the Double but he still deserves much credit (much like Benitez winning the CL with Houllier's players). Kenny then rebuilt that team by bringing in Barnes, Beardsley, Alridge and Houghton. They went 37 games unbeaten and won trophy after trophy. Six whole years after becoming Liverpool manager, he left with them top of the league, hardly a team in decline.

To put the Blackburn title win down to money is ridiculous. It was an amazing achievement. His team were hardly world-beaters. Flowers, Gale, Kenna, Sherwood, Hendry, Le Saux, Ripley, Gallacher, Shearer and Newell.
