Are they a good read R0y?

Any point in reading them if you have had loads of experience playing and hours of watching it on YouTube & the TV?

are we really comparing the best PL keeper of the last 7 years to that gimpy novice?

Poor De Gea, probably needs Ferguson to tie his bootlaces for him

Reina is terrible Fred.

I'd rather have somebody like Al Habsi (Serious)

Edwin Van Der Sar is still better than De Gea today.
And Thibaut Courtois will be better than De Gea tomorrow. Man United is doomed.

He's actually decent keeper in terms of shot stopping and having quick enough reflexes to deal with one on ones - I saw that more so when he played in Spain, he'll never be in Wojceich Szcesney's league nobody is, but if he simply beefs up, dominates in box in the way in which Schmeichael did, he'll be there a while, doesn't help he's had differing centre back pairings like WS.

He was actually a very naive purchase considering, Spanish goalkeepers are not used to having balls pummelled in to the box at every other opportunity, the game in Spain goes through the middle as opposed to getting it out wide and whipping in crosses after crosses, at 20 years old, he'd be better off going out on loan, but then again can't see any other club wanting him to displace their own current Number 1 half way through a season.

He just cant cope with the english game. He's not a bad keeper he's just not used to the english game. And will never be. He'll be back in spain end of the season.

Seems like alot want to attack the utd keeper while he beds into english football making a mountain out of every little error, yet at the same time saying nothing about other 'top' keepers and their blunders.

This thread will simply chart the blunders in parallel. I'd wager this will be a longer thread that its sister one.

This one's working well. The de Gea mistakes thread is 10 times longer than the mistakes thread for the other 19 keepers, says it all really Laugh

Don't take the flak personally! de gea was dog at the start of the season minus the shot stopping, the press pounce on whatever's news, fair play to the lad he got his head down and showed he's quality. he needs a ****ing shave though!

i think vorm has consistently been the best goalkeeper this season behind krul then de gea, you think that dawsy, good luck with the women think your gonna need it lol

Na, De Gea is the best in the league mate. No other PL keeper is world class like he is.

Have you seen De Gea's gf btw?
By:
LightsOutWordsGone
When: 02 Apr 12 22:37
yep, seen his wage an  all, dont reckon it'll match yours, de gea is good and will be world class but not for a while, casillas is world class, vorm and krul have been better this season
By:

Dawsy you never fail to get super excited and declare Man Utd players as the best in the world or in the league.

De Gea has potential to be one of the best around but this season has certainly been behind Hart and Krul, while has not been any better than the likes of Freidel.

It's not a pop at de gea and you seem to take it personally, i'd happily have @ exeter, lord knows we need a miracle to stay up

Since Xmas De Gea has been the best keeper in the world, can you think of any other keeper who has made such crucial saves on a weekly basis? I can't. He is just an amazing keeper, and like I said when we first signed him, I think he can become one of the all time greats. Krul has been average since the Xmas period and Joe Hart has leaked goals too. If you asked all the PL managers if they could have one keeper at their club, most of them would pick DDG.
By:

When: 02 Apr 12 23:08
nah they wouldnt, they'd go with vorm, who you ignored because he doesnt play for a big club but sky dont focus on big clubs so your not interested!

Got to be a Swansea fan. Vorm has been good but nowhere near the level of DDG.
