Is it possible to win long term with goals?

Surely it also depends on what prices you get on each?
Profitability is a combination of strike rate AND price.  One without the other is meaningless.

My profit over the past 3 months is very little. So any profit is better than no profit I suppose, but I wanna make better progress.

Apart from good prices, is it also worth trading for smaller greens if an early goal is scored? Or would the profit cancel each other out in the long term?

no-one can tell you how to bet, everyone has their own style.  the only way to judge what is best for you is analyse everything you do and see where you make and lose money.  if you can be bothered.  most can't.
