i think there is something a bit sansomy about him...ever since he changed his hairstyle he has been atrocious...either that or that isnt him at all
Report NobbyClarke October 1, 2010 8:44 AM BST
Torres clearly wants out. He left declaring his commitment to Liverpool to the absolute last possible second this summer.

Liverpool want silly silly money for him so he's not happy.

Unhappy strikers don't score many goals.
Report beepbeep October 1, 2010 8:56 AM BST
maybe he just had a realy good couple seasons and hes not as good as every1 seems to think - i cant see a thing he can do better than drogba
Report Daveyboymoyes October 1, 2010 9:22 AM BST
Did Chelsea bid 40 mil for him?  Wouldn't get in the Chelsea team on current form anyway.
Report Ibrahima Sonko October 1, 2010 9:25 AM BST
Maybe his knee is knackered.

Real Madrid's transfer consultant, Ernesto Bronzetti, claims Liverpool wanted £60m for Gerrard.

You can imagine what they'd have wanted for Torres.
Report morrissey October 1, 2010 9:28 AM BST
i said in june they would be lucky to get 12 million for gerrard and 40 for torres given torres horrific recent injury record..

the scousers seriously think they will get 60-80 million for him.
Report NobbyClarke October 1, 2010 9:30 AM BST
Liverpool's problem is they have no one to replace either Gerrard or Torres.

If either leaves they are sunk.
Report morrissey October 1, 2010 9:39 AM BST
on this seasons form they wouldnt be.. sometimes you lot are as bad as them living in the past with these players
Report NobbyClarke October 1, 2010 9:42 AM BST
Errrrrr.... they have as good as left that's why they're struggling.
Report morrissey October 1, 2010 9:43 AM BST
dont be stupid.. one of them had a poor season last year and the other was continually injured.. in all truth liverpool would miss neither and would be better off taking the money and starting again
Report NobbyClarke October 1, 2010 9:45 AM BST
as I said, they have as good as left.
Report bbc2 October 1, 2010 9:46 AM BST
could they survive in the championship without them
Report morrissey October 1, 2010 9:50 AM BST
thats the prob with liverpool.. clutching at straws are their fans now.. i saw one say gerrard has played well this season. fk me their standards have dropped a lot the last few years. been as much a fault as anyone.

The problem with Liverpool fans, and I'm one of them so I can say this without sounding like one of the usual bashers. Is that everybody thinks we should be cruising through games against Sunderland against Utrecht simply because of our history.

People on the .tv forums seriously beleive we still have one of the best starting 11's in the league when in all seriousness the only players (NOT GOING ON FORM) that would get in any of the other 11's are Gerrard Torres and Reina.

Going on form only Reina would get close right now, and other than that we are very very poor.

Roy is out of his depth and Liverpool fans are out of their's and the worst thing is that people are looking for positives out of last night and sunday when there are none to take. The best thing for us now and the real fans will agree is to restart hopefully live with midtable and build from our youth, we have some fresh exciting talent that would show ten times the heart commitment and ability of these clowns like poulsen, lucas, jovanovic and even glen johnson.

you have to consider losing the likes of alonso, maschherano ,anelka dont really help his enthusiasm as he sees a great team discombotulated week by week. up the tower sunday, against this sunday league outfit. the yanks should be hung drawn and quartered...

Moz. Highlights how little you know perfectly.

R0y. It was Houllier who didnt want Anelka. Every single fan was gutted and wanted him. We got Cisse instead.

dirtydeana. Tbf, most of us having been saying that for a while.

The 'fans' you talk about arent the rule. You are talking about the sky watching, non match going armchairs. Most match going fans are very realistic.
