NK Maribor at Evs to beat Hibernian
Incredibly they were 5/4 yesterday with the Magic Sign. Still at Evens with some layers, and a shade under that on here. This is a great price for the Slovenians at home to the mid-table SPL outfit.
Maribor are seasoned European campaigners, and they are from Slovenia - a nation that qualified for the world cup finals, lost narrowly to England, and would thump Scotland. Maribor are already into their season and have a decent home record. If your check their Euro results, you'll see they don't lose to poor sides out there. Hibs are definitely in that category. A side with no Euro experience, managed by someone who's been shown to be tactically inept, and equally inexperienced in Europe.
I expected no better than 4/6 on Maribor here, but it seems that unless you're a household name, the layers are prepared to be generous with their prices. We saw it yesterday with Braga. And here we have it again.
And before anyone jumps in thinking that this is back any side v an SPL side blindly, think again. I didn't back against Motherwell last time. Motherwell have a shrewd manager and are well organised. Hibs are the opposite, and in any case, have much tougher opponents in Maribor, compared to Motherwell.

If you want to play "keep ball" you need the players to do it - Yogi well out his depth.

The thing that pisses me off the most is the goals we lost where all piss poor from our point of view
Hibs was always going to be up against it - it was a terrible draw from them but you would have thought yogi would put a decent team on the pitch. Make me wonder stokes and deek are injured because i think that is shocking team to put out. Looks like i've won cash but i was hoping hibs scored in the last second and lost 2-1.

Thanks lads. Hope most made some money. It's been a great double header with Braga and Maribor. It gives me no pleasure (well maybe a little) to profit from the shocking quality of Scottish football, but these are golden opportunities to cash in on the market's amnesia/ignorance/delusion (take your pick) about the state of our game and the gulf that exists between us and most of Europe.
So we were the only Scottish team to achieve a respectable result in Europe this week, looks like being the same as last season when we arguably did the best out of all the Scottish teams competing in Europe.

Lunacy, IMO.
Sporting Braga were the 2nd best side in Portugal last season, finishing ahead of Porto. Very strong home record and playing Celtic who have an abysmal away record, and have taken some beatings in Portugal.
As a Celtic fan, I'm hopeful the hoops can do some damage in the return leg in Glasgow, but they'll get nothing in Portugal. Portuguese league starts this weekend so Braga are further forward than Celtic in terms of fitness.
I have to assume Braga's price is greatly inflated because they're not a name, like Porto, Benfica, etc.
As I said, Lunacy. Deserves to be punished. I've lumped on at all prices from 2.16 to 2.22.
Price can only go one way from here.
