Discuss this pick in the Bettingadvice forum All star game in the MLS is a tradition like in all American sports, only difference here is that the whole league play against one well known European team. That is since the league realized that would be far more interesting for the fans. Since they did that MLS all stars boast an impressive score, they managed to beat Chivas Guadalajara, Celtic, West Ham, Chelsea and Fulham, while Everton is the only team that managed to pull out a draw. With MLS all stars again with the best the league got, sold out Reliant stadium in Houston, I believe they have very good chances of getting a result also tonight. However, that's not the only reason, Manchester United has hardly been impressive in this North American tour, they are missing many star players still resting after World cup, and this tour serves mostly for some youngers to show off to sir Alex and try to impress him. Especially Man U defense has been shaky w/o Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra and also today O'Shea won't play cause of minor injury, same as Daren Fletcher. Good news for them is that new striker Chicharito Hernandez will play about 30 minutes today as Sir Alex said and will finally get his debut. For MLS all stars Donovan, Buddle and De Rosario won't play more than half an hour as they had a Concacaf CL game yesterday, but that's surely not a problem with all the players coach Arena have in attack available. To sum up, Man Utd is far away from their usual level and I doubt they will be the first team to beat all stars who have lots of quality. Man Utd so far beat Philadelphia 1-0, but scored and started dominating only in the second half when Philly reserves came in, while they lost 2-1 vs Kansas, even though Wizards played whole second half with 10 players.
