I was all set to do the following, with no handicap, but the handicap looks good there
for the record, I've picked a 25cen each way lucky 31 Man city @ 5/1 Forest 15/2 peterboro 10/1 torquay 25/1 York 12/1

also going for an ew patent(long shots) for top scorer
Beckford @ 80/1 earnshaw 16/1 stokes at 7/2

Right am i seeing this correctly in the premeir league say you wanted to back chelsea normally you would probably get 6s but for the handicap of 0 you can back them @ 16s? Surely that cant be correct

What would the difference be between each way lucky 15 and a normal lucky 15?
Right then im thinking of a yankeeNewcastle +40 @ 16s Pompey +12 @ 19sCharlton +13 @ 19sCrewe +12 @ 19sWhat would the difference be between each way lucky 15 and a normal lucky 15?
Yeah i understand that, i mean whats the difference? Is it just extra money returned, as E/W is usually on horses places, where as on a lucky 15 you have doubles singles etc so is it just like putting £2 on each instead of £1

yeah, but you can do an ew lucky 15 on the horses as well. in fotball, its probably 1/2 the odds for 2nd place in prem league, and 1/3 odds top three places in the other divisions, but diff ookies have differant rules. verify when doing the bet, as I've just checked Paddy Power's site and the info is differant from their phone betting!!!

Most bookmakers are paying first 4 in the handicap betting
You are guaranteed a small profit even if you only get 2 places
£1 ew lucky15 pays at least £36 with 2 places
£241 with 3 places £1578 with 4 places
Then your returns go up the more winners you pick!
This really is the best ante-post bet around for the soccer student to pit their wits against the old enemy imo

Its all about selecting teams you think will do better than the bookmakers think.
For example the Handicap Premiership winners over the last 2 seasons have been 2009 Stoke 2010 Birmingham
Whilst the Championship and Division 2 Handicaps winners last season were the runaway League winners Newcastle and Notts Co respectively. (Division 1 was won by Swindon).
It pays to look at bookmakers lists. (I'll use Laddies and Bl Sq to highlight examples)
Of those posted already the points spread on the Championship is narrower with Bl Sq than Laddies. So if you think one of the favourites will do well, then bet them with Bl Sq, on the other hand the outsiders to win the league would be a beter bet with Laddies on the Handicap. There are 20 teams handicapped by Laddies that have a bigger head handicap than with BL Sq, the best of which is Ipsich with 6 extra.
If you fancy Middlesbor, Forest, Bristol C or Derby then you bet them with Bl Sq.
So work down all 4 divisions, select the 4 teams youy think will do better than the bookmakers think, seek out the best handicaps, get your bet on and enjoy.

With the b/f handicap it pays you to bet teams who appear to have an easy first 5/6/7 matches and lay those you think will have a tough start - gives you a trading opportunity later to maximise your profit
Sunderlands looks ok to start and i will be a bettor, but Stoke look to have a tough start hence i will lay, together with the other 7 teams i believe will accumulate less than 80 points.
btw, the "max" bet of the season is Blackpool to finish bottom - have availed myself of 11/10

CHELSEA TO WIN THE LEAGUE WITH 80 IS MORE PROBABLE THAN THE 86 THEY WON IT WITH LAST YEAR!!!
The competition is much tougher this year over last and a number of clubs will start to make inroads.
Arsenal, Liverpool & Man City will all do better this season than last.
I firmly believe Roy is a better manager than "Rafa" and the Reds will be less prone to the mistakes they made last year ie to the tune of 10 points or even more.
That is what is great about foobtall, people have many different opinions, it these opinions i use to make my handicap bet and enjoy the season with a windfall of £68000 coming to me in May.

There is not a chance that Liverpool's point tally will get into the 70's (imo). Hodgson has got to take over a squad of misfits led by a past it Gerrard who looks like he wants to leave more and more with every passing day. No matter how good a manager is it is simply not possible to turn that mess around first time of asking.

Not sure how you come to the conclusion that Blackburn were 'lucky' to stay up?
Portsmouth, Burnley and Hull were all clearly worse than every other team and I don't see how Blackburn were lucky to finish well above them.
The Premier League was very weak last year, but with Blackpool, West Brom and Newcastle coming up it hasn't got much stronger.

Cannot understand why Birmingham are favourites on here, there is no way they will accrue 50 points as they did last season, and there gonna have to to make the frame.

I agree with Liverpool and Bristol City as teams to improve next season.
Benitez never took the EPL full seriously - Hodgson was the best manager in the EPL last season.
Bristol City have more money to spend and a shrewd manager.
Teams that win these bets tend to be teams fancied to struggle who cause big shocks. West Ham and Newcastle have the capability to shock.

RH got Fulham to a Europa League final on less than 50% of the resources of Harry - the previous year RH got Fulham 7th - I would challenge Mourinho to do that!
I also fancy Shrewsbury to surprise a few people and improve on last season - Graham Turner knows Div 2 inside out and has a lot of contacts in the West Midlands which helps him pick up decent loans and freebies from the bigger clubs. He has a bit more money to spend than at Hereford and Shrewsbury will be more settled into their new ground. I have taken them at 4/1 for promotion.
