Right lads hopefully the merged brainpower of all the forumites will result in some nifty tips for the coming season, maybe winnings us some money along the way.
Starting off with a few Premiership ones I fancy:
Blackpool to finish bottom @ 2.1
Reasons here are pretty straightforward, the weakest team on paper and having not really strengthened this summer it looks like they'll be pissing against the wind next season. Can see a few trouncings but only danger here is their potential home form.
Arsenal to finish above City @ 2.1 and United to finish above City @ 1.65
It's difficult to predict what City will be like next season, they've been throwing money around like its going out of fashion and bought some talented players along the way. My thinking here is that, as with Rome, football teams aren't built in a day. Indeed it may be next season before we see the best of City coming through. Arsenal on the other hand seem to be keeping ahold of Fabregas and having added Chamakh and RvP being fit again (for now!) I fancy them for third place.
Chelsea/United SF @ 5.5 and RF @ 3
Chelsea and United are on another level to the rest of the premierleague teams for me, I can't really see anything other than these two battling it out for the title.
City for the Europa League @ 11
The players at their dispense are certainly capable of beating almost anyone in a cup competition. There's lots of parallels with Chelsea of the days just after Roman Abramovic's take over, and that team really cemented their status in the big time with Cup wins. For that matter I also think City to win the did... I mean Carling Cup @ 8 may be worth a pop.
There's others i'm on already but the price has pretty much gone on most so no point in telling you about what you could've been on is there?
Basically back all the favs apart from after you have opposed City twice you steam into them for Europe.
Very good!
I wasted 5 minutes of my life reading that.Basically back all the favs apart from after you have opposed City twice you steam into them for Europe.Very good!
My point is I don't expect City to excel over the 38 game league format this season and very much think 1 and 2 game cup formats will be more their forte.
