what signings make you believe they can make up all those points on chelsea man utd and arsenal,to make them a great bet?
Report marychain1 July 26, 2010 7:18 PM BST
You havent researched this very well...Surely if that's your thing, you would want the +8 points at 16/1 being offered by Murdoch's lot?

Besides, it is perfectly possible that City win the league and STILL this bet doesnt win, so not for me.
Report TAKE ME OUT July 26, 2010 7:21 PM BST
Torres, Milner, Ballotelli, Silva, Boateng

This season is gonna be epic

City will break Chelseas points and goals records
Report turtleshead July 26, 2010 7:21 PM BST
They'd need about 20 points start to stand an earthly.
Report MMisapr1ck July 26, 2010 7:22 PM BST
Very bad bet, will finish at least 20 points behind
Report bornisthekingofSB July 26, 2010 7:23 PM BST
good luck with this but not for me,all these new players gelling straight away(lose first game) and price will drift straight away
Report TAKE ME OUT July 26, 2010 7:24 PM BST
turtlehead has a massive problem with man city

has to post on every single thread saying they should be 25/1
Report TAKE ME OUT July 26, 2010 7:27 PM BST
sunderland +38 points is very good aswell
Report C1rclemaster July 26, 2010 7:30 PM BST
Break Chelseas points and goals record? lmfao ....

Will do well to get 70pts and 70 goals
Report dsmith July 26, 2010 7:34 PM BST
you being such an helpful chap why dont you compile a table of last years points then add the handicaps

maybe give blackpool 25
wba                 35
newcastle           40ish
Report turtleshead July 26, 2010 7:35 PM BST
Erm, stupid, why would I have a problem with a side who is going to make me a large amount of money this season when I lay them every game Confused
Report TAKE ME OUT July 26, 2010 7:37 PM BST
ok i will back thwm every game and we see who makes the most

sounds like a challenge?
Report turtleshead July 26, 2010 7:38 PM BST
Fine by me.
Report NonShy.. July 27, 2010 12:29 AM BST
sunderland +38
or balckburn for me
Report Mighty Whites 2008 July 27, 2010 10:26 AM BST
wouldn't touch blackburn. In fact they would be my dark horse for he drop. Skint and have not spent a penny, manager unhappy, woeful in pre season.
Report LeoOnAHigh July 27, 2010 10:35 AM BST
Wolves + 44
Report sticky butt July 27, 2010 10:39 AM BST
these markets are a bookies dream ffs, 15-1 on a 20 runner race??????????????, if a team does a birmingham, who probably won it least season, then city cant win with +7 imo
Report LeoOnAHigh July 27, 2010 10:43 AM BST
correct below, I'd bet if you look through the past 5 years results, one of the top 6 teams in the outright market haven't won the handicap results.
Report Daveyboymoyes July 27, 2010 10:49 AM BST
This market is a dodgy one.  There is usually at least on team who surprises and does well.  If i was having a bet Everton +23, Sunderland +36 and Villa +25 look the bets.
Report sticky butt July 27, 2010 10:53 AM BST
DMB   never would have guessed you would have chose everton  Shocked
Report Daveyboymoyes July 27, 2010 10:56 AM BST
SB that is my unbiased opinion [;)]
Report blackfritz July 27, 2010 2:36 PM BST
Don't like Man City plus the 8 points at S.ybet, let alone 7 elsewhere.  Spuds might squeak it with plus 20, but think this is a bit too tight to call.

If anyones interested here is the list of last years points and totals incl Hcap start ( from SJ coupon)

Chelsea  86    86
Man U    85    88
Arsenal  75    84
Spuds    70    89
Man C    67    74
Aston V  64    89
Liverp   63    78
Everton  61    84
Birmingh 50    86
Blackbu  50    87
Stoke    47    86
Sunder   44    77
Bolton   39    77
Wolves   38    80
Wigan    36    78
West Ham 35    74

Assuming Chelsea and Man U go similarly well, something over 90 is going to be needed to win this.  To get this Man C are going to need an improvement of 23 points on last year, not forgetting that they took 6 points of Chelsea, which to my mind is unlikely to be repeated.
Report dsmith July 27, 2010 5:51 PM BST
thanks blackfritz, how many points are newcastle getting
Report Nilsson Schmilsson July 27, 2010 6:04 PM BST
that info is also available at www.kjbetting.co.uk
Report blackfritz July 27, 2010 6:56 PM BST
SJ give Newcastle 37 points, West Brom 46 and Blackpool 49
Report dsmith July 27, 2010 7:16 PM BST
thanks i fancy newcastle to get between 45 and 50 so 37 wouldnt be enough
Report kenilworth July 27, 2010 7:19 PM BST
It's not the sides higher in the hadicap they have to beat
but the springers below them. The handicap is usually won
by a lower level side, like last season I believe B'ham
and previously Stoke if memory serves me correct.
Report Sexual Harassment Panda July 27, 2010 7:21 PM BST
the results from last season are a few posts up [smiley:crazy]
Report sugarfoot July 27, 2010 7:21 PM BST
need chance of 95pts inc handicap to be really interesting.  can't see City getting 80 let alone 88
Report mafeking July 27, 2010 7:22 PM BST
indeed one of the no hopers getting 40 to 45 usually gets around 50 points making the 90ish needed
Report kenilworth July 27, 2010 7:23 PM BST
SHP, the post you refer to doesn't tell you
what the starts were this time last season.
Report dsmith July 27, 2010 7:24 PM BST
liverpool could get to 90 points with their handicap, id guess apart from last season they would normally get 75 points
Report sugarfoot July 27, 2010 7:30 PM BST
there have been some 100+ winners, Reading in 2007, Ipwich in 2001 certainly and probably one or two others
Report dsmith July 27, 2010 7:37 PM BST
do they do a market on here?
Report mafeking July 27, 2010 7:59 PM BST
wigan possibly as well in their first season ? got around 50 points iirc.
Report miz July 27, 2010 9:52 PM BST
i see sporting index have a spreads market up. if you believe them to be correct the best bet appears to be spurs with sky @ 17 with +20 pts
Report MMisapr1ck July 27, 2010 9:56 PM BST
Id take none of the bets, stupid +s
Report MMisapr1ck July 27, 2010 9:58 PM BST
Where are these bets anyway?
Report MMisapr1ck July 27, 2010 10:01 PM BST
Just seen a good bet at hills under premier league specials

Team to score over 103 goals in the season @ 8/1 Shocked Got to be worth £30 on that at least
Report TAKE ME OUT July 27, 2010 10:05 PM BST
how many times has a team scored over 103 goals in a season?
Report MMisapr1ck July 27, 2010 10:08 PM BST
Not sure how many times, but i think Chelsea could score that many this season, less than 3 a game on average
Report TAKE ME OUT July 27, 2010 10:12 PM BST
chelsea last season was the one and only time

i think the next closest is man utd with 97

shocking price tbh
Report MMisapr1ck July 27, 2010 10:15 PM BST
What about Luton to be promoted by April 1st @ 20/1?
