Not quite the case. If he was adamant he wasn't going to City, Liverpool have the choice of either reaching an agreement with Chelsea or keep a very unhappy player.

In that situation, they'll accept a lower offer from Chelsea than City would be offering.

I still think he'll stay where he is but make no mistake, Torres himself controls this situation.

Liverpool don't have to accept any offer they're not happy with Torres has recently signed a new contract they don't have to sell. FRom what i know about Torres hes very happy in Liverpool, its problems with the owners that have made him consider moving. But if it doesn't happen i don't think hes the type of player that would stop trying.

Dylan. The problem for Liverpool from a supporters point is I am sure the owners would sooner take the 50 million. I do not think they believe they will still be at the club next year so they would be far happier to take the money now. The short term is there interest not the long term. If torres wants to go I would think there will be very little if any resistence from the owners. Ultimately it will be Torres who decides.

FRom what i know about Torres hes very happy in Liverpool


For all i know Torres could have black teeth now as the last time i saw him smile was 2 seasons ago. Badly needs an UN before happy.  The problem is if Liverpool got big money for him there is now way the Yanks will give most of it back for transfers.
