JEFFERIES CONFIDENT BUT MCGHEE NOT GIVING UP HOPE Published: 24/07/2010
Hearts manager Jim Jefferies is confident of signing midfielder Paul Hartley next week. Aberdeen also want the former Celtic player but Jefferies is convinced the 33-year-old wants to return to Tynecastle.
Harley has been told he can leave Bristol City but is set to opt for a lucrative return to Tynecastle, where he left to join Celtic in 2007.
Jefferies said: “Paul has said he is keen to come to Hearts but there are a lot of things to sort out.
“I would love to have him here. He is a very good player. We will have to wait and see but Paul would do a great job for us in the SPL."
Dons manager Mark McGhee will not concede defeat in his pursuit of the midfielder but he knows the Reds will be unable to compete with the money on offer at Tynecastle.
He said: “We are not giving up on Hartley. The problem we have is that Hearts can trump us fairly easily. We saw it with Kevin Kyle and Darren Barr."
Thinking of backing you for third, as where Hearts really struggled last year was in attack and I think Kyle could be the man to get you there...

Obv hes going to say that if he was just about to sign again for hearts, remember watching Hartley when i was like 10 play for Hibs, he was proper crap back then. was decent for hearts though i have to admit.

You are a Scottish and you cannot support Mel Gibson, you cannot sing "Braveheart", you don't support Scotland
You support instead Manchester United, an English Club, Cristiano Ronaldo, a Real Madrid player?
Hehe what a joke
