England is a bit small to have a good half/bad half. Really it's all like London, in that you can have money and live in a nice part, but you are never too far away from a rough area. A rough area is a rough area, north/south/east/west doesn't matter.

In fact, most of the larger cities aren't pretty to look at bar the very centres and some leafy suburbs.
The countryside and small villages make up for that though. |

ive travelled extensivly aroun britain, luton is as rough as anywhere some northern towns grim, but some of the towns/villages in the valleys south wales would really take some beating if the area was extended to include wales very very grim, dirty holes with no hope

Luton is truly truly feckin awfull,cant be a town in the uk "worse" it's worse than Bradford and a million miles worse than Liverpool,and Manchester City centre is like Beverley Hills compared to most southern towns in true fairness.
The North does have its sh1tholes but at least you know your still in England most of the time. London is just ull of pooftahs and immigrants |
