Like, 1.01 gubbed, or 1.02 in danger in some other sport.

Why does it get posted? Can I make money from it, I just dont get it

i'm fairly sure you've never had it...

Sorry, but not all posts are intended to make you money.  This may be a shock to you, but it's best just said outright so that you don't have the wrong idea about this phorum.
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:27 PM BST
I just dont see the point of them.

What am i supposed to do, thank the posted for bringing this useless information to my attention
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:28 PM BST
Wow, look 1.01 gubbed on Big Brother market. fck me, i dont think i could fuction without this info
Report _a_s_c_i_i_ July 24, 2010 6:28 PM BST
You could ignore it.  It's usually self-evident what the thread is about before you open it.
Report canaryboy July 24, 2010 6:29 PM BST
why should info be of useConfused

It's like rubber necking at a car crash.

Thinly veiled I'm jealous of those who hit big odds thread.
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:38 PM BST
^ completely missing the point

There's nothing unusual about 1.01 not winning when 99 have won previously. Except when that happens it warrants a thread on here usually by people who havent even placed a bet on that sport.

I just find it strange.
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:39 PM BST
why dont we have threads when 1.1's lose. Whats the difference
Report prestbury road July 24, 2010 6:39 PM BST
Sort of agree with modk.  To post that a 1.02 shot is in danger of getting turned over is like posting that a 50/1 shot might come in.  If someone posted a thread every time an unfancied defender scored the first goal of the game or when there was a 3-2 scoreline you would give them all sorts of abuse.  1.01 getting chinned?  Happens about 1 in every 100 times doesn't it? ;)

If i was to ignore all the stupid posts on this forum there would ne nothing to read
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:42 PM BST
Its just the obvious getting posted. Might as well scale it up and post every time an evens bets goes down.

I just dont see the point of it all. But it obviosuly gives certain forumites a stiffy.

So either conform to the established order or stop whining. lol
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:44 PM BST
true,

i feel like a whine :)
Report Horangi. July 24, 2010 6:45 PM BST
And the reason people post these gubbed threads is they find it newsworthy/exciting.

Its rare these situations occur and thus the betting community here feels the need to recognize it.

i must be missing something, i dont get any buzz or awe out of being informed a 1.01 failed to win
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:48 PM BST

What's the purpose of anything?
Report Horangi. July 24, 2010 6:50 PM BST
Hitting a massive longshot is the ultimate high in gambling.  Why isn't it newsworthy?
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:52 PM BST
usually information is reported for a reason, at best to stimulate a response. My arguemnt is that there's nothing strange about a 1.01 not winning.

I dont get anything from being informed that XYZ didnt win at 1.01. clearly its an important piece of information to many here, i'll juist add these to list of junk threads i see on here each day :(
Report Horangi. July 24, 2010 6:54 PM BST
Thinly veiled I'm depressed and lonely thread.
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:55 PM BST
This is different. This is people rushing to post a thread on the football forum about a 1.01 they noticed that failed to win on a different sport/forum. Its that which I dont understand.
Report modk July 24, 2010 6:56 PM BST
Some 4 legged brown donkey failed to win and got gubbed in hourse racing forum. What am i supposed to do with that info on the football forum after the event took place.
Report _a_s_c_i_i_ July 24, 2010 6:58 PM BST
This thread reminds me of old women moaning to each other about a supermarket changing its chelves around, or the council cutting hedges.

Plus, it is RACIST.

Football forum has the highest traffic, the news must pass through here.

I thought the French under 19's would have been a 1.01 gubbing but nowhere near despite the equaliser coming with the last kick of the game! I'd have started a thread if they'd been gubbed at 1.01 [smiley:crazy]
