There's nothing unusual about 1.01 not winning when 99 have won previously. Except when that happens it warrants a thread on here usually by people who havent even placed a bet on that sport.

Sort of agree with modk.  To post that a 1.02 shot is in danger of getting turned over is like posting that a 50/1 shot might come in.  If someone posted a thread every time an unfancied defender scored the first goal of the game or when there was a 3-2 scoreline you would give them all sorts of abuse.  1.01 getting chinned?  Happens about 1 in every 100 times doesn't it? ;)

And the reason people post these gubbed threads is they find it newsworthy/exciting.

Its rare these situations occur and thus the betting community here feels the need to recognize it.

Hitting a massive longshot is the ultimate high in gambling.  Why isn't it newsworthy?

usually information is reported for a reason, at best to stimulate a response. My arguemnt is that there's nothing strange about a 1.01 not winning.

I dont get anything from being informed that XYZ didnt win at 1.01. clearly its an important piece of information to many here, i'll juist add these to list of junk threads i see on here each day :(

Some 4 legged brown donkey failed to win and got gubbed in hourse racing forum. What am i supposed to do with that info on the football forum after the event took place.

I thought the French under 19's would have been a 1.01 gubbing but nowhere near despite the equaliser coming with the last kick of the game! I'd have started a thread if they'd been gubbed at 1.01 [smiley:crazy]
