...that is good about football.

Buying success. Say goodbye to the everyday Joe off the street watching football. Toure getting paid £200,000 a week. Absolute joke! Average player...average team. Hopefully they'll finish mid table. Grin

Don't be absurd. City are the people's club. United may have the money and the glory but we'll never sink that... ohh, shiny shiny. Yes, Sheikh Mansour, that's the spot. Ride me like a camel. Faster, your Sheikhiness.

I liked Man City when they were at Maine Road. Standing up against United. The Kippax. A good club. Now they are turning into the anti Christ.

14 thousand in a quarter final league cup game at home last season just shows you what kind of club City are.

Biggest glory hunters around.

What is the difference with city signing players as opposed to the others.

For years with their champions league money chelsea, liverpool, arsenal and utd have had a huge advantage over the rest.

Its good to see someone come and ruffle their feathers.

It looks like Man City are going to take it to another level. Bottomless pits of money even making Chelsea's looking like small change. Can only be bad for the game. Will anything be done? I fear not.

They cared after the first leg of the semi-final, though. Biggest competition in the world then. Until about 92 minutes into the second leg. Laugh

Bar Chelsea, do you really need that explaining?

The difference between City and the others is a bit like the difference Bill Gates and that chav lottery winner who still plays the lottery 'because it would wind people up if I won it again'.

My son went to Man City a few times last season cos its only a fiver for students at some games. Do city do similar discounts for families etc? if they do more power to Man City...rather them than smug little divs that United take to games.

Citeh also do concessions for the 'pink brigade'... you should go along with your son.

I don't see City as being worse than any other team that buys success.

This lacking class argument is rubbish as well. Chelsea and United are certainly not classy.

I would also venture that of the Top 6, City is more plugged into the local community than all the others - and for that, I commend them.

Maybe they're smug because they're supporting their life-long passion, rather than going along because

1. It's £5
2. They're relatively successful compared to what they used to be
3. We're students, and it's so, like, random. Wouldn't it be so random if we went to watch a team we've had nothing to do with. Get the ironic jester hat, Dave.

You could at least look it up to see if it's true before you commend them for it.

vornander any club who is successful attracts new supporters.

The reality is they have more spending power than anyone else and one way or another they are heading to the top.

All city have done is been able to outbid any club for a player as they have a bottomless pit of money and there owners are playing fantasy football. The game of football changed in this country when Sky started broadcasting premier league games and it was seen as a profitable business.

they were almost top 4 last season.

They added a number of players and will be stronger. They will be top 4.

you have to remember that if clubs such as Bolton, Huddersfield,Southampton,Yeovil and Blackpool were offered billions  via some Arab take over ,they would all turn it down ...honest !

plus i cant see the point of fans whining about some clubs having more than others  as its not a 'level playing field'

level playing field my arse ! Laugh

what about clubs such as  man utd and newcastle  ?  their gates are 10 times that of torquay and northampton ..all that extra admission cash   ,surely that cant be fair on the league 2 sides ?
