ok, I will be more positive. This market has very much the same characteristics as the last Fulham manager market.
Google Al Fayed management style, or variations on those words and you will understand why this one is difficult to call.

Basically I don't think the punters have a clue yet and they are guessing and backing some possible candidates plus a surprising amount of complete no hopers. But I am hoping that there will be clear signals soon.

MARTIN Jol is set to be named the new Fulham boss in the next 48 hours.
The Chronicle understands the 54-year-old would be happy to take the rolling contract on offer at Craven Cottage as well as an improved salary on his current job at Ajax.
Jol only took over at the Amsterdam Arena last summer, helping them to the Dutch Cup and second spot in the Eredivisie, but it is believed he is keen to return to the Premier League.
Talks with Sven Goran Eriksson, who has been favourite for the post, have stalled over the terms of the deal and the fat wage packet the Swede has become accustomed to with England, Manchester City and the Ivory Coast.
The Whites are keen to appoint Roy Hodgson's successor as soon as possible with the pre-season trip to Sweden on the horizon early next week, with Jol set to fit the void in SW6.

As if Jol would leave a huge club like ajax (who are doing fantastic mind) for fulham
Made no sense to me either but aren't Ajax in some financial trouble? Could partially explain this.

Must say, getting Martin Jol as manager would be quite a scoop although I will believe it when I see it. Certainly would prefer him to the Swede. Think it's fair to say that this I would never normally expect to see Jol and Cardiff's Dave Jones so close together in a next manager market.

To add to the above post...There has been no news in local press or TV about DJ and Fulham.
The CCFC website has no news about the above, but there is a message board with comments.
I will be surpised if DJ goes with his family happy living in South Wales ( so he says ).
If DJ goes to Fulham...Any chance he can take Mark Hudson with him [;)]

You could knock me down me with a feather if Jones gets the job. Al Fayed will need to approve the appointment and the Jones history will be too much, imo.

I only meant it was surprising how much they and S/B were allowing on this type of market there is usually a pretty small limit of around £40 to £50 especially when it he was trading at odds on , on here anyhoos Jol or Not Jol is more or less the same to me now will win around the same

Maybe but I would not take 6.4. Somebody swooped earlier so you could get him much shorter. Alternatively it could mean that somebody knows something.

A lay of Jones could be worth a look though smiffy. Firstly I don't think that Al Fayed would take him on with his history plus it is my understanding that the clique of uk based agents know little about this appointment, so it is almost certain that an overseas agent will be involved.

Right simple terms: Martin Jol Big Salary would be required plus not a very big job for him to manage. Dave Jones - Cardiff nothing going for him at the moment, will lose more players and be at a more structured club and in a better league after having 2 good seasons with Cardiff. So when i was told i thought good price at 9-1.

I've just stuck up £300 at a fairly generous (related to most bookies prices) 1.72 for anyone who wants to back Jol.
I have no inside info and never usually lay anything (although i would say that wouldn't i!),but i just can't have this one at all so have decided to put my money where my mouth is.
If i'm wrong and he takes a big step down to manage Fulham i'll be shocked (and slightly poorer).Makes no sense to me.

Not sure how far to read into this given that he works for the BBC sometimes, but my brother works at heathrow airport and saw jurgen klinsmann in arrivals late-on last night. I don't "Do" football, racing is my game... does it sound plausable that he could get the Fulham job? and is it worth a punt?

He was in the picture very early on but I am reluctant to go in gung ho on the basis of sightings at airports, trains and taxis.
Famously George Michaels road manager is the splitting image of Koeman and was spotted at the Citeh ground.

Former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann is believed to be heading Fulham's wish-list, as their search to find Roy Hodgson's successor continues.
According to The People, chairman Mohamed Al Fayed is determined to appoint a pedigree manager and is reportedly not favouring a move for former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson who took charge of the Ivory Coast at World Cup 2010.
Fulham had been left red faced earlier this week after their failure to land Ajax coach Martin Jol, but Al Fayed will not be rushed into appointing a new dug-out chief.
Klinsmann, hailed as the man who masterminded and matured Germany's latest national team, has been out of work since leaving his post as Bayern Munich manager last summer.
The former German international is currently living in California and is not believed to have applied for any jobs. However, it is reported that the former Tottenham Hotspur striker would jump at the chance of a return to the Premier League.

Jurgen Klinsmann backed to be next Fulham FC manager:
25 Jul 2010
St@n J@mes cut Jurgen Klinsmann from 66 to 12/1 and now 6/1 to be the next Fulham boss.
With speculation mounting over who will take over from Roy Hodgson at the club, the former German striker has been supported heavily on Sunday and the bookies are taking no chances that he gets his shot in the Premier League.
Head of PR Charlie McCann: "It is quite ironic that Klinsmann who was once approached with a view to take over at Liverpool has been backed off the boards today for the Fulham job made available by the move of Roy Hodgson to Anfield. Eriksson remains an uneasy 6/4 favourite and it may not be the one-horse race some considered a couple of days ago."
Next Fulham manager - St@n J@mes are betting:
S G Eriksson 6/4 D Jones 4/1 M Hughes 4/1 J Klinsmann 6/1 (from 66s)
