sven on the drift, apparently staying with the ivory coast. free money lay? Maybe but I would not take 6.4. Somebody swooped earlier so you could get him much shorter. Alternatively it could mean that somebody knows something. |

A lay of Jones could be worth a look though smiffy. Firstly I don't think that Al Fayed would take him on with his history plus it is my understanding that the clique of uk based agents know little about this appointment, so it is almost certain that an overseas agent will be involved.

im not so sure about jones. does seem like a logical choice, but having said that so does curbishly who has drifted out of contention

A new candidate would not surprise me. This market is doing strange things

Dave Jones hasnt a history of anything bad. He has done a great job at Cardiff and as for Agents not knowing anything you are very wrong.

Guessing if they can't agree to terms with Ajax Jones is the fall back option.
|
|
By:
Right simple terms: Martin Jol Big Salary would be required plus not a very big job for him to manage.
Dave Jones - Cardiff nothing going for him at the moment, will lose more players and be at a more structured club and in a better league after having 2 good seasons with Cardiff. So when i was told i thought good price at 9-1. |

Jol coming down

By:
surely cant go to 1.69 on the basis of a sky sauce.
i think he maybe the one |
|
By:
I've just stuck up £300 at a fairly generous (related to most bookies prices) 1.72 for anyone who wants to back Jol.
I have no inside info and never usually lay anything (although i would say that wouldn't i!),but i just can't have this one at all so have decided to put my money where my mouth is. If i'm wrong and he takes a big step down to manage Fulham i'll be shocked (and slightly poorer).Makes no sense to me. |

Not sure how far to read into this given that he works for the BBC sometimes, but my brother works at heathrow airport and saw jurgen klinsmann in arrivals late-on last night. I don't "Do" football, racing is my game... does it sound plausable that he could get the Fulham job? and is it worth a punt?

Goal dot com:
Former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann is believed to be heading Fulham's wish-list, as their search to find Roy Hodgson's successor continues. According to The People, chairman Mohamed Al Fayed is determined to appoint a pedigree manager and is reportedly not favouring a move for former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson who took charge of the Ivory Coast at World Cup 2010. Fulham had been left red faced earlier this week after their failure to land Ajax coach Martin Jol, but Al Fayed will not be rushed into appointing a new dug-out chief. Klinsmann, hailed as the man who masterminded and matured Germany's latest national team, has been out of work since leaving his post as Bayern Munich manager last summer. The former German international is currently living in California and is not believed to have applied for any jobs. However, it is reported that the former Tottenham Hotspur striker would jump at the chance of a return to the Premier League. |

Jurgen Klinsmann backed to be next Fulham FC manager: 25 Jul 2010 St@n J@mes cut Jurgen Klinsmann from 66 to 12/1 and now 6/1 to be the next Fulham boss. With speculation mounting over who will take over from Roy Hodgson at the club, the former German striker has been supported heavily on Sunday and the bookies are taking no chances that he gets his shot in the Premier League. Head of PR Charlie McCann: "It is quite ironic that Klinsmann who was once approached with a view to take over at Liverpool has been backed off the boards today for the Fulham job made available by the move of Roy Hodgson to Anfield. Eriksson remains an uneasy 6/4 favourite and it may not be the one-horse race some considered a couple of days ago." Next Fulham manager - St@n J@mes are betting: S G Eriksson 6/4 D Jones 4/1 M Hughes 4/1 J Klinsmann 6/1 (from 66s) |
