2-0 they were only 4-5/1 so no point really backing out. Went to 9/1 with 10 mins left and then they scored 2 quick goals.

Absolutely sickening :(

Tw-ats, because being 2-1 down with 10 minutes to go, 8-9/1 is a disgusting price! and there was hardly any liquidity so you would have to leave a price up and get matched at something worse than what its worth.

blindly greening is geenrally the way to poor bus but any lay at 1.05 goes anywhere near evens you HAVE to green out imo

i'd be greening at 1.1 but i only trade small margins, large stakes

gallipoli and sallernata are both bnt clubs, no italian bookies have been taking bets on them since christmas

What price did you expect to get on a dodgy game where the pre match favourite was 1/20 for goodness sake?

You were lucky to get 9/1!

I had faith in Italian football there, and it let me down. I saw the goals, they let them score them.

look at gallipolis form, they was like in top 10 until xmas (and that infamous 2-2 draw) then they just lose every game

but hard luck, you're one a few who would have layed them but you got lucky at 1-0 2-1, should have greened my friend

There was no liquidity to trade. That would have been so sweet.

you're league is very bnt rome :(

fans turning up at matches knowing that their team is probably just gonna lose on purpose, how is that acceptable week in week out

Rome how could I see them doing it. They went 2-0 up and even though they conceded early, they held out for another 30 minutes and modena were struggling to break through, how would I know they would score 2 goals in 2 minutes? If someone offered me proper odds of 20/1 + of a team to win from 2-1 down with 10 to go, I would have greened, not at bits and bobs here and there with no liquidity.

.. I'm guessing if at 2-0 down they were still at very low odds, and it was italian football (i.e. completely corrupt) you COULD have guessed they'd come back?!

"If someone offered me proper odds of 20/1 + of a team to win from 2-1 down with 10 to go, I would have greened"

You think someone is going to offer you 20/1 on a team to score twice in a match which almost certainly has been pre arranged??? ShockedShockedShocked

You could have even greened up when it went to 3-2, the odds were about 1.1 then!!!!

HG i have no problem with you but a team 1/20 in serie b which is more of  political league than  football league 9/1-10/1 is best you get. You said you seen the goals and they let them go in. After you watch  first goal and at very least second goal you should no to get out. Lessons learnt are good however
By:
HGsuperhoopza
When: 30 May 10 16:12
As I said already, when the team sturggled to score all match and even with the momentum after scoring their first goal, I would have thought that the odds on them pre-match were simply because the opposition were pish and the home team HAD to win, seen as they struggled thought, I wasn't taking crappy odds and losing loads of green when they didn't look like getting 1 let alone 2.
By:
HGsuperhoopza
When: 30 May 10 16:13
For the millionth time, there was no liquduity at all. they were 4.2 to back with 12/13 mins to go and 50 to lay. How was I supposed to know, in a dodgy match (not just fixed but unpredictable), what the true odds were and I was only likely to get matched by someone more in the know who would be taking advantage of me and laying/backing odds that weren't good for me.

HG your big mistake is viewing these games as football matches.

What part of 'f1xed' are you not understanding?!
By:
HGsuperhoopza
When: 30 May 10 16:17
I've said my reasoning, not repeating things 20 times. Ok if my reasoning, after watching most of the match was nieve then so be it. Its been a very profitable weekend none the less so I move on, and learn don't get involved in dodgy odds matches again, thought I saw an opportunity there.
By:

Why did you not take a small profit after the score went to 3-2???

Did you just think "I'll hang on just in case by some miracle it goes 3-3 and I'll clean up"?

Sorry, but if that was your thinking, words fail me!
By:
HGsuperhoopza
When: 30 May 10 16:20
Because unlike most of the bullcrappers on here, my stakes aren't big enough to back at 1.09 and lay at 1.05 and make much money.
By:
chop180
When: 30 May 10 16:24
So you laid a team pre kick off at 1.05 in the almost certain knowledge that the match was fixed, the side goes 2-0 down and you refuse to take a huge profit, the team goes 3-2 up and you can still make a small profit, and you decide to do nothing in the hope a last second equalizer goes in?

Jesus. ShockedShockedShocked

When: 30 May 10 16:29
yes even at 3-2 you could have doubled your money

Your a moron, read my justifications prat.
By:
chop180
When: 30 May 10 16:36
The only moron is someone who laid at 1.05 and failed to make a profit on that game. If you couldn't do this I don't hold much hope for your chances long term!

Oh, and it's "You're"

HTH.

That's low. Or should I say 'fixing' mistakes - lot of fixing going on today apparently!
By:
HGsuperhoopza
When: 30 May 10 16:40
and that comment about making money os also ridiculous. Taking small profit in circumstances where things go for you and missing out on the big profits won't make you win long term because they'll be a fair few occasions when things don't go for you and you lose more than the small profit you made before.
By:

JC, I don't do so normally, only I felt it was justified here due to the "moron" and the "prat" comment.

Yeah, of course you make a profit long term hoops, everyone does here Laugh

I'm sick of making so much money. Betfair emailed me and said they're updating their servers to 128 bit, just so they can handle numbers big enough to calculate my bank.
