see that's what you don't understand, you think I just sat at my computer putting the bets on. It took me to get off my @rse and get into shops putting the money on.  I also had to verify that the advice was worthy of my time. When i was satified that the advice was worth my time and money, I did the work getting my money on at those odds. I will have to return the favour in the future, of course.

A those odds he has to make 20-30 bets for every winner, depending on how good his tips are.

walk????? it took me visiting over 10 shops and then I have to decide what amount of my money is going to go on this advice. What would have staked?? How much would you put on and how many shops would you visit????  You would blindly stake on such advice???

good for them. They can put four years hard work in on here and learn to make money this way if they want. I went to Uni four four years and got two degrees, a bachelors and a masters. It took as much work and dedication as its does to learn how to win on here.

Bob, it's because you can't think this stuff through that you are not suitable for this.  Ice doesn't only have 33/1 winners,, he has to do just as much work on losing bets as winning ones.

To take a wild guess I would say he believed the true odds of the horse winning were shorter than 33/1

you tell me. I already satisfied myself that it was worth £1K of my money. Look at the racing post and analyse the horse and race it was in and the horses it was up against. That will give you a starting point. I'm not Kevin Pullien and don't betting do analysis for the punting public.

Cat summed it up in a nutshell but why??? That's the question you must answer and its no good me giving you the answer. Its kind of like sitting in an exam and asking the person next to you to answer the question your unable to answer, you'll never learn a thing doing that.

Frankel is in a league of his own. Hence the 1/20 price in his last race. Shocking even if he is near certain to win.  if a horse is 1/10 and your backing at 1/20 then to fool you. If your backing 5/1 shots at 10/1 then your likely going to do well over time.

i think ur analogy doesnt make sense and it is not a helpful reply for bobs question to be honest. he is asking u why ur tipster thought the horse was value. and i am sure bob can learn a lot from the reasoning no matter how novice he is in betting. it is rather better if u simply mention discussing  the bet in detail may be disadvantageous for ur betting   which is understandable by itself.

bob you think you have some entitlement to explanations on here. I can only imagine you were spoiled as a child and are used to demanding and getting your own way. You have nothing to offer me so and I certainly owe you nothing.  I am not a betting school. I post how much I win/lose. This thread is not bob's question and answer thread. It been pointed out soooooooooo many times before.

Bob i have a question for you.  Why do you ask those who post big wins on here for advice yet ignore those who post modest wins?  Do you reckon that makes them better at what they do than others?

Turning your losses into a £1 a day win would be a success so why not ask those who achieve this?  Those who work within similar funds as you might be able to share something you can relate to.

With every respect to the Ice King, anybody that ''alledgedly'' sticks 1k on a 33/1 shot is a mug.

That isn't what I meant, RMB. How many times does a 33/1 come in? If Ice King has a large, large, roll, and 1k to him is the equivalent of a pound to the average punter than fair play. If 1k is a substantial amount to the guy, he's a mug.

Agreed. I suspect he makes a good amount of money consistently, and has a disposable amount for flutters and felt this 33/1 shot was such good value it was worthy of a bag of sand. Very nice work I say to the lad. If he's got a small bankroll and had no idea what the horses price should be then yeah, a mug, but I suspect anything but in truth.
