still have to beat forentina by 3 goals? better to bet on correct score shirley?
Report Starpick • November 11, 2009 1:26 PM GMT
chicken, why 3 goals? Liverpool would have 10pts and fiorentina would have 9pts
Report top3 makin ahern and de souza • November 11, 2009 1:27 PM GMT
i believe in the viola draw against lyon liverpool would have to win 2 0
Report alfie bhoy • November 11, 2009 1:27 PM GMT
fiorentina only need a point at home to lyon to qualify.
Report Mr Eboue • November 11, 2009 1:28 PM GMT
Even if Lyon win in Italy, Liverpool have to beat Fiorentina at home by 2 goals.

I think I'm right in saying.
Report The Magic Flea • November 11, 2009 1:28 PM GMT
because lyon aren't going to push forward as a draw would mean they have virtually won the group
and fiorentina would rather have a draw and go defent a 2 goal lead then risk a loss
Report the chickens giblets • November 11, 2009 1:28 PM GMT
i stand corrected ;)
Report Starpick • November 11, 2009 1:28 PM GMT
top3, what are you talking about? Liverpool would have more pts, so goal difference is not relevant
Report alfie bhoy • November 11, 2009 1:29 PM GMT
anyone who think liverpool will beat fiorentina by 3 goals need their head examined, be lucky to win in debrecen.
Report The Magic Flea • November 11, 2009 1:29 PM GMT
3 goals eboue, inless liverpool beat debreceni 7-0 :^0
Report The Magic Flea • November 11, 2009 1:29 PM GMT
sorry more than 7-0
Report REDUNDANT PUNTER • November 11, 2009 1:30 PM GMT
I would imagine Liverpool would beat fiorentina by a 4 goals, as for debrecen, probably draw
Report Mr Eboue • November 11, 2009 1:30 PM GMT
Just the 4 goals RP?
Report Starpick • November 11, 2009 1:30 PM GMT
goals dont come into this if Liverpool win both their games and Lyon beat fiorentina
Report alfie bhoy • November 11, 2009 1:31 PM GMT
even if liverpool win 15-0 against debrecen, if level on points with fiorentina it is their head to head record that counts hence why liverpool will need to win by 3 goals in last game.
Report The Magic Flea • November 11, 2009 1:31 PM GMT
I can see fiorentina-lyon being a cagey game played on the counter by both teams
Report The Magic Flea • November 11, 2009 1:32 PM GMT
no, because at 2-0 their h2h would be the same and then comes goal difference
Report top3 makin ahern and de souza • November 11, 2009 1:32 PM GMT
am i mistaken liverpool have 4 points and firoentina have 9 ?
Report alfie bhoy • November 11, 2009 1:32 PM GMT
so starpick you think lyon will win in italy when a draw sends them through against a team that beat the mighty liverpool 2-0 in italy?
Report The Magic Flea • November 11, 2009 1:33 PM GMT
no, but we are assuming viola will get a point against lyon, as lyon would win the group
Report idiot • November 11, 2009 1:34 PM GMT
No value there to me but might be worth backing individually.

Fiorentina not to win at home to Lyon would be around evens.

Liverpool to beat Debrecen would be about 1.6.

Liverpool to beat Fiorentina by three goals or more would then be about 3 or 4.

I reckon it should be around 10 plus even taking into account the small chance that Lyon get a win in Florence or that Liverpool smash Debrecen by enough that a 2-0 win against Fiorentina is sufficient.

With Liverpools european record its worth a punt but your probably better off betting on a succession of events rather than that slim all-in price.

so starpick you think lyon will win in italy when a draw sends them through against a team that beat the mighty liverpool 2-0 in italy?

Lyon have every chance to win and there is no "mighty liverpool" as the likes of tottenham, birmingham and many more teams can testify. Anyone who says a Top team can play for a draw is having a laugh. The only way to play for the draw is to score first!
Report The Magic Flea • November 11, 2009 1:39 PM GMT
but why would the go to florence and play for a win as it may jeapordise their top spot?
Report alfie bhoy • November 11, 2009 1:43 PM GMT
was beiing sarcy when describing liverpool is 'mighty' they are awful hence why even if lyon won in florence and liverpool won v debrecen, which i doubt, then they will not beat what is the best fiorentina team for many a year.
Report REDUNDANT PUNTER • November 11, 2009 2:01 PM GMT
Not sure if its overpriced, could fiorentina get less than a win against lyon and can liverpool beat debrecen
Report Dodgy Dealer • November 11, 2009 2:10 PM GMT
If Lyon win in Italy and Pool beat Debre.. table would be,

Lyon - 13
Fiorentina - 9
Liverpool - 7
Debre.. - 0

so it wouldn;t matter pool would go through as long as they win, but Lyon and Pool have to win then pool have to beat Fiorentina
Report 1st time poster • November 11, 2009 2:11 PM GMT
whats l,pools european record got to do with it,when its not in their hands
Report Can't Catch Me • November 11, 2009 2:18 PM GMT
Would rather be a layer than a backer at that price... too many variables
Report 1st time poster • November 11, 2009 2:21 PM GMT
lyon will have an easy put pool out as not to meet them later on,why wudnt you

Me too. 6.4 to lay looks like a stormer bet.
Report Starpick • November 11, 2009 2:29 PM GMT
it would be an uncomfortable lay for me, liverpool should win comfortably and i cant see lyon lying back

so then youve layed 6.2 on a 2/1 shot
