like Bolton in the Scottish Premier League - now **kk off Gartside and take your **ty club with you off to Scotland and stop making suggestions that would kill football. Cheers.

The ONLY reason that some are now suggesting Celtic & Rangers for the EPL is that it is about to implode.
Their reckless spending, wages & consequent debt are unsustainable.
We will be asked to get aboard The Titanic because it is about to hit the iceberg & cannot stop.

If the Scots have the sense that I think they have, they will wait until AFTER the inevitable collision.

To be honest I don't mind Rangers and Celtic playing in our leagues, my main problem is this closed 2 divisions thing that will kill off a large number of clubs with great history. What happens to clubs like Leeds, Norwich, Charlton and MK Dons for example?
Report marychain1 • November 11, 2009 12:10 PM GMT
Got no problem with Celtic and Rangers playing in England, after all, 5 Welsh clubs do. But they shouldnt start above anyone else in the pyramid, so Conference North next season.
Report DixieUK • November 11, 2009 12:17 PM GMT
its about money alright but not because the premier league is about to "implode" rangers are in just as much debt if not more than most english sides.
no its people like arry redknapp who obviously worships money (ffs the bloke earns millions a year and still needs the cash from advertising toys on TV) sticking their stupid comments in the mix. yes arry they do have bigger stadiums than most PL clubs so therefore there will be more money in gate receipts (and presumably a bonus for filling the stadium more regularly eh arry?) but pound notes aside the reality is full on 60s, 70s, 80s style hooliganism each and every week.
and what happens when, as sure as arry loves money, one of the glasgow sides gets relegated? another change in the rules so they dont actually have to go down?
Report STEPTOES YARD • November 11, 2009 12:31 PM GMT
If this goes ahead I will give up on footy.

All about money as usual.
Report STEPTOES YARD • November 11, 2009 12:32 PM GMT
Why not invite psv and benfica as well.
Report alfie bhoy • November 11, 2009 12:32 PM GMT
All about money now?

Why do you think the premiership was invented?

firstly MILTON KEYNES DONS a great team i assume you are taking the** and if gartside takes all the rubbish teams from the premier league with him he will leave behind a four team premiership
Report McHaggis • November 11, 2009 1:15 PM GMT
MK Dons, a team that's been around for only a few years, do me a favour.

And before you go about Wimbledon etc, they are NOT the real Winbledon, they used that club as a francise
Report inner city sumo • November 11, 2009 1:17 PM GMT
Let the sectarian circus rot.
Report Charles1980 • November 11, 2009 1:59 PM GMT
Surprised MK Dons got a bite however the original point stands.
Report Tom The Bomb • November 11, 2009 2:12 PM GMT
I don't mind if they come down - as long as they bring there 2 champions league spaces with them.
Report inner city sumo • November 11, 2009 2:13 PM GMT
Can't see Platini et al allowing that. I'd be dubious about whether we'd be allowed to keep our 4, certainly wouldn't trust anything that comes out of UEFA on that front!
Report top3 makin ahern and de souza • November 11, 2009 2:23 PM GMT
surely making it 6 teams in the champions league would add the problem of a boring premier league ie the same teams every year getting richer and the others relying on shady foreign ownerships to compete silly comment imo
Report Charles1980 • November 11, 2009 2:27 PM GMT
will never happen - 6 teams wtf?
