Report bainnyboy • November 8, 2009 10:26 AM GMT
Not even Man U or Arsenal play week teams in the FA cup. Too much potential money in it...

But Northwich V Good home team, recommened caution !!!

Got Northwich in my treble today - (actually laying Charlton to cover draw!).

Banana skin for Charlton - they have only won ONE of last SIX!!!
Northwich have have NOT LOST in their last SIX!!!

I wouldn't do a single bet on Northwich though seeing as they are three leagues below Charlton.

tax man will be rubbing his hands at the thought of northwichs windfall

northwich were much the better side and thoroughly deserved to win it's that i just don't like seeing clubs running up massive debts so they can perform at a better level and then sayin can you let us off what we owe we can't afford it they got away with alledgedly13p in the pound 4 or 5 years ago now they have ran up massive debts again and are trying to get away with pound in the pence once more. Hopefully the profit they make from these few games will go towards paying the hmrc and local businesses what they owe....just don't think it's fair when other clubs are run on a budget other clubs just spend what they want knowing that they will get away with it RANT OVER!

Gresty if you knew the full story about the vics then it would be clear the blame per their financial troubles lies fairly and squarely at the door of a man who looks oddly like a walrus...

This was the game of the weekend. Really enjoyed watching it.

Barney i'm from northwich and i do know the full story about the walrus, this conman and people like him should have no place in football, he did northwich no favours for sure and (i must say) alledgedly filtered money off into other companies, but i also know the club was actually saved by this git and if it wasn't for him they would of gone under and would of had to of started again, VICS have had massive debts for years, in hindsight it probably would of been a good idea to start again as they'd probably be back where they are now in a good financial position. The club was then aquired by the new owner for nothing because of the debts. Now the fact that the new owner is able to aquire 1.5 million to buy the ground but cannot aquire the funds to pay the hmrc does not seem right to me.. i've many friends that are vics fans and can chat for hours with them about the problems of local football. I still think they should somehow ground share with there local neighbours.....different teams but same ground.

I agree they shud merge with Witton and try and work together but it wont happen... Even in the glory days of Burrinho when the entertainment and football played were awesome, they still struggled to get over 1000 fans in on match-days.

Perfect fit for the blue sq north but will always struggle in the conf until somat changes...
