as moneytree said, dont waste your cash. The best way to learn how to do some trading is to deposit 100 quid in a betfair account, familiarise your self with horse racing (ie the front end of the horse from back end), follow some daily tipping sites (gg.com, racingpost.co.uk, dailydonkey.com.....) and watch the prices moving throughout the day - take note of the movements and figure out why?? (what tabloids/broadsheets are also tipping the shyte out of these selections...ie - driving prices down)
Start here placing bets of 1 quid a time and set your self an exit point (backing at 1.9, laying at 1.4...). The exercise here is not to make profit (consider the 100 quid an investment) but to get familiar with all the backing/laying and greening up you need know. Once you get the hang of reacting to a markets movements, you can work closer on deciding WHY the markets moves?
Useful site for trading include:(please note: i dont endorse any of these sites, i merely have used bits and pieces of info from them to build the bigger picture) bettingtraders.com racing-index.com/exchange-trading sportsarbitrageguide.com/ (this is the doggs bolliccks for betting info) totalgambler.com/othersports/columnists/352/betting_exchanges.html
