Its not great, but its only 6 points to the team closest to the top team, so all is not lost, having scored more goals than teams in that position, ou dont have to be a genius to realise the problem are further back, something that never used to be an issue so its fixable, top 3 finish imo, but sadly probably second

No so you would expect to be a lot further behind if you had imo, will Liverpool improve as the season progresses, I would imagine yes, cant be certain, but they have done in a few seasons previous so time will tell

and you still think things are going to get any better, with Rafa at the helm an injury list longer than a liverpool losing run. I just can't see you finishing any higher than 7th. I have layed them for a top 6 finish.
