It should be the right time to play you lot blademan with your growing injury list and the suspension of captain thug morgan we also have our captain suspended but i have got the feeling we will do it tonight, 3-0 would be nice with hume comeing of the bench to score the last one would be nice. poor turnout from your lot by the sounds of it less than 1500 tickets sold for a short trip up the m1.

the blades are due a result, the injuries/suspensions are irrelevant as the players coming in will have something to prove and having to make changes will do them a favour imo...
barnsley are an ok team, but nothing special barnsley 1 sheff utd 3 |
By:
home win here, 1 or two sheff players will be on park playing with injuries...there really struggling.

as a barnsley fan, i aint really sure on this. we aint been that good against sheff u over recent years although we do have a different gaffer now so might be different. also i think id rather play sheff u away at the minute as our away form is better. plus its a derby game so could go either way reallysmall lay of sheff u for me. probably come unstuck though
By:
So are you saying Barnsley's 1st team is'nt good enough to beat a sheff utd virtual reserve team??
By:
i am
By:
I think we will beat sheff u tonight and i dont like tipping my own team but get your money on the tykes tonight.

Barnsley 10 5 1 4 15 : 15 16
Sheffield Utd 10 2 2 6 15 : 22 8 wow Barnsley did have a really bad start looking at the last 10 match form, only 1 point from the 1st 5 games...but they seem to have turned that around, whereas sheff utd have crumbled...to me football is all about current form and Barnsley are on the up. |
By:
injuries and suspensions are irrelivant?? lol yeah ok mate
By:
Any chance the traders manipulating this market could push the price upto 3.0 for Barnsley please
By:
in fact Barnsley -0 at anything over evens looks like an early christmas present
By:
sheff utd will not win tonight.
manager is clueless at the best of times but tonight we have massive injury / suspension problems. i'll be on barnsley |
By:
Sheff utd just gone favs again, why oh why....makes no sense, sometimes i just cant work these markets out 1 bit...im presuming its traders pushing it up to grab as much 2.8 ish as they can knowing there will be a glut of money for Barnsley closer to K.O and will be able to lay off around 2.6 ish for a green book.
Im no odds compiler and not any good at giving things a price due to circumstances but even i make Barnsley favourites here down to recent form and the news we have at this time. |
By:
i'm a season ticket holder at united. we shouldn't be favourites aganst anyone at the moment
By:
Exactly Jonty, the price is ridiculous on us. Barnsley should be clear faves. Diddly as for the poor turnout I'm one of those who would have gone if it had been on Saturday and not on TV. However, I've been to Scunny and Blackpool lately which wasn't cheap to see us leak 6 goals and look awful. Couldn't bring myself to do it all again when I can do it from my own living room. Bet I'm not the only Utd fan feeling like that at the moment either
By:
yeah it just seems a weird market.. dont seem right at all, like i said i cant worm em out..think i'll give up trying.
Barnsley not getting backed much in the high street at current prices 6/4 and 13/8 but thats probably because that is the right price but i would of put my house on this market coming at least into line...oh well another wonder of the world |
By:
fair comment blademan it is an expensive job been a football fan i dont do that many away games compared to what i used to, whats your take on blackwell at the moment a lot of unhappy blades on radio sheffield of late.
By:
From what i can gather the international break cant come quick enough for blackwell
By:
i'd rather blackwell was given a far longer break than the international one
By:
If we do beat you tonight jonty he might get the boot.
By:
hope he does.
By:
is he really that bad?? i remember in the summer he wanted to quit and everyone persuaded him into staying...come on,the guys got an insane amount of injuries and suspensions
By:
I think its the style football they are fed up with aswell long ball to henderson and thats the only plan they have they can put up with it when they were winning but long ball tactics and getting beat is too much to take.
By:
reminds me of my team, Plymouth.. long balls is all Sturrock seems to know these days. Very happy with our recent run though so guess i cant complain. Think il stick £80 on Burnley to win this.

burnley? ? ?
By:
it is awful to watch ady. last year although the style of play was ugly and not easy on the eye we won more than we lost. that isn't the case this year and many fans have had enough.
i have also heard he has been known to bully some of the young lads at the club. hence why sharp went to donny and cotterill is on the bench every week. |
By:
I am starting to hear similar things Jonty
By:
really?? wow what a douche bag...oh well i hope he gets the bullet then :-) southgate in?? lol
curbs would be superb now that hes had his settlement |
By:
it's only rumours ady. but my sources at the club aren't usually too wide of the mark
By:
Blackwell out was a familar sound a while back..is this the same person?
By:
you seemed to create plenty of chances against us (newcastle) and were it not for a couple of harper saves you would have got something from the game. know you've lost a couple to injury and i'm presuming confidence will be low given the run your on, but you are nowhere near the worst team we've played this season. i wouldn't dive in on barnsley but i think overs looks good, possible 2-2, or 2-1 either way
By:
we're not as bad as i'm making out matt. but we should be far better than we are. even with the injuries there's still plenty of talent available.
By:
Matt that was a home game for Sheff Utd, you would expect them to create a few chances ffs as you would expect a few for barnsley tonite...you cannot compare a home game with an away game...that is why we play home an away.
By:
i can 100% sympathise with feeling like a team isn't fulfilling its potential, hense having to sit through games like newcastle peterborough and scunthorpe away this season!!
By:
Glad Morgan bottled out of this game as it would have affected our chances I think. Would like to see Humey get on the score sheet obviously.
This could be a tight game personally I don't fancy goals and wouldn't be surprised with a nil nil. Think with local derbys the form goes out of the window but this is the right time to play them cos I think they will pick up soon. |

While i agree that playing is at home is an advantage, for Sheff U tonight not having the home fans on their backs, given their current form, may be a blessing in disguise |
