Eduardo was touched he also had a previously badly smashed ankle to get off the ground as it looked for all the world Boruc was gonna go right through him. Uefa had no choice but to back down.Ngog's effort was comical though to say the least.

There have been far worse than that, and it happens all over the pitch, week in, week out. If you don't agree with that, you obviously have a selective memory, and are blinkered by wotever colours you wear. The authorities could have nipped all this in the bud years ago but were not strong enough to do it. Its now well out of hand, and part of the game. Like it or not, it was a crazy challenge - asking for trouble sliding in like that in the box, and the player will know it. Is it worse or any different from Gomez's challenge on**on Saturday - was there any contact there? No. ZERO.**went down as soon as he played the ball. Did we hear much fuss about it? Not really. All we heard was Steve Bruce moaning that there should have been a man sent off..for not touching a forward. |

that is not the game. that was not a penalty. if the ref didn't dream up the contact it was a yellow card. he **ed full stop. the ref made a howler. |
