Think Rooney would have gone on to score if he hadn't been wrongly flagged offside when he was 1 on 1, would also have fancied him to score the penalty that should have been awarded when terry dragged down Valencia.
It is fair to say that they created very little in terms of clear cut chances, think they could have been a little more ambitious with the substitutions to be honest.
Rooney dropping deep has it's advantages but obviously the major disadvantage is that he's then not in a position to score.
Not majorly worried is the honest answer though, are you concerned Chelsea failed to make any chances in open play either?

In these super sunday type games its very small details that often make the difference and this one was no different, but if you dont score then you cant hope to win really

were liverpool fans bitter about the defeat at chelsea, I thought we got what we deserved, where confortable for a period, but never looked likely to respond if they took the lead, and thats how it panned out imo

I see what your saying and have given you an honest answer which is i'm not overly concerned.
These games are often tight with very few chances. Both sides failed to create any real clear cut openings and United were unlucky with a couple of decisions, that's how it goes sometimes.
Just trying to keep a bit of perspective, we are 1 point worse off than I think we deserve to be this season, no big deal and with 2 difficult away fixtures now done with it's just a matter of keeping in touch.
No point thinking it's season over, any more than you thought it was season over after losing at Wigan or Villa I presume.
I'm cautiously optimistic.

Seems that the ref yesterday didn't know that he was supposed to favour United. He also forgot to take advice from Fergie with regards to the amount of extra time. Maybe a turning point in the season.

Not going to make an issue of the ref, wish ferguson wouldn't either, should expand his self imposed interview ban to Sky.
Of all the decisions the ref made yesterday the only one which really annoyed me was when Cole and Terry collided and terry stayed down. The ref allowed play to continue for practically a minute when Chelsea had the ball, as soon as United won it and broke he blew the whistle to get the physio on. That wound me up tbh :^0
