Doubling up 10 times??

Starting from £10

10 doubles would get you over 10k

Now, surely if you back 3 top teams playing pish poor teams in an acca to equal 2.0 on odds it could be done.

Ive got to week 7 but then one team let me down with a draw.

Anyone ever gone the whole way?

Report Veck • November 8, 2009 10:21 AM GMT
Had a successful run of 56 lay bets. Thought I'd cracked it then the inevitable happened and got f**ked with laying two 33/1 shots. Ouch!
Report flatliner • November 8, 2009 10:21 AM GMT
I done it twelve times starting with £100........

Snake , I sense you are going to try this soon
Report Veck • November 8, 2009 10:27 AM GMT
Snake. Why don't you try laying. Thats the edge we have here
Report delpiero7 • November 8, 2009 10:29 AM GMT
I once got to 6 betting on a combination of baseball, football and tennis. Had over £800 after 5 bets from a £20 starting stake. Withdrew half the money, won the next bet to go back to £800+, then lost the next bet when Federer lost to Tsonga in the tennis in Montreal.
Report The Snake • November 8, 2009 10:30 AM GMT
Thats what im saying Veck, you can add a couple of lays in too on the acca. as long as the acca was odds of evens.

Flatliner - 12 times, jesus, you must be minted.

Some guy on the tennis forum got to 10k doing this
Report Bobsyboy • November 8, 2009 10:52 AM GMT
The best way would be to take a little out each time so if one goes wrong you have only slipped back a bit and not lost it all.

...and then you woke up.
Report courtenay • November 8, 2009 11:15 AM GMT
if you were good at finding value and could back 1.5 shots at evens you would still only manage this once in every 58 attempts, so good luck.
Report tengo sueño • November 8, 2009 11:20 AM GMT
a Swiss forumite called rio999 or something once did it a few years ago. of course supernap was always on the thread saying it couldnt be done!

Report dddddew • November 8, 2009 11:32 AM GMT
is it an accum or is he just backing and laying 1 by 1
Report The Snake • November 8, 2009 11:33 AM GMT
It was £640 was going for bet 7, to 1280 but lost.
Report flatliner • November 8, 2009 11:33 AM GMT
I would say I stopped at £409600 cos that how much it would have been but I,m only joking, doubling up is very hard, wouldn,t try it, just think 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 those are the odds.....
Report SN00P • November 8, 2009 11:34 AM GMT
ahh 1 by 1 I think.
Report The Dragon • November 8, 2009 11:34 AM GMT
in a word no
Report dddddew • November 8, 2009 11:34 AM GMT
u cud try this every week and aim for even money over maybe 20 bets only ting is if it goes down after weeks its a waste of time
Report flatliner • November 8, 2009 11:35 AM GMT
Small and often wins for me, don,t chase after a bit win.
Report The Snake • November 8, 2009 11:36 AM GMT
Best thing to do would be to start with £10 and double up for 12 weeks but take 20% after each successful bet..
Report justinterested • November 8, 2009 11:36 AM GMT
Over in general betting Vulpecula is on his tenth bet today, although he broke the bank half-way through to keep £500. All bets at odds of 2 or more too! The thread is called £25 to £10,000.
Report get in there gamsty! • November 8, 2009 11:37 AM GMT
i think for interests sake i'm goignt o give it a crack this week, starting today £10. on an evens multi. See if i can make it to next sunday.
Report dddddew • November 8, 2009 11:37 AM GMT
if i startted wit 10 pound and got to say 1k i wud find it very hard to stay going on
Report get in there gamsty! • November 8, 2009 11:39 AM GMT
withdraw 20% each time as matey said. or at 1k withdraw half then continue
Report dddddew • November 8, 2009 11:40 AM GMT

Report M.J.W • November 8, 2009 11:40 AM GMT

Take all emotion out of the bets - treat bet 1 like you would treat bet 10. Best way to do that is by phoning through and getting the bet placed and just say put the bank on this this and this in an acca. Do phonebet do accas? or just singles?
Report oxgpd • November 8, 2009 11:43 AM GMT
The probability of this happening is very remote, however everything is possible mathematically.
Report M.J.W • November 8, 2009 11:43 AM GMT
if i put 8 k on and lost id be very**ed of
Report The Snake • November 8, 2009 11:45 AM GMT
M.J.W - I too would be truely peeved.... however, if youre withdrawing say 20% each time along the way, you would have had a good run.
Report justinterested • November 8, 2009 11:49 AM GMT
I got £50 to £400 this week then lost the lot yesterday :(
Report blue army itfc • November 8, 2009 11:57 AM GMT

2 Valladolid v Xerez (Laying Xerez @ 6.64)
3 Valencia v Zaragoza (Laying Zaragoza @ 8.02)
4 Northwich v Charlton (Backing Charlton @ 1.33)
Report delpiero7 • November 8, 2009 12:38 PM GMT
I keep thinking that if I tried this over the course of a year I'd be able to pull it off.

Unfortunately I don't have the patience and ultimately try and pull it off in 10 days, leading to obvious failure.
