I am just saying it should not be compulsory to force everyone to wear a poppy. If it means so much to you and your family then wear it and we all understand why. But do not force it upon those who do not care about it and means nothing to them.

Why should the FA make every club comply with this now? Football clubs have never had poppies sewn onto shirts until recently. What's changed to make it so insulting that it doesn't happen now but it was fine for teams not to have poppies on their shirts all the way through the 50's-90's?

1) It's not called the Premiership and hasn't been for a few years. 2) The F.A. Premier League is the league's official title and that gives a clue in the title wouldn't you say? It clearly does have at least a little bit to do with the F.A. |

People have the choice to wear poppies or not, that kind of choice is exactly the kind of freedom that soldiers fought for, particularly in WWII, if we go down the route of FORCING people to wear them they may have well not made all the sacrifices they did.
I'll be wearing my poppy but I won't be acting like a Nazi to try to force everyone else to wear one. |
